Lawyer Objects to Court’s Illegal Ruling on Female University Student Saving Father
Bian Xiaohui, Tangshan University student, known as
the present day “Ti Ying Saving Father”, was found guilty
by the Chinese authorities for her request
to visit her father in prison.
August 21, she was on trial at the Bridge Eastern Court in
Shijiazhuang city, along with her cousin Chen Yinghua.
Her attorney, Wang Quanzhang, told our reporter that
Bian Xiaohui asked for two more people’s assessors,
but was rejected.
The lawyer believed the court’s decision was illegal and
protested by withdrawing.
The lawyer also complained at the city’s Procuratorate.
The Court had to stop proceedings and announce another
day for the trial.
Wang Quanzhang said the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)
legal system allows more people’s assessors to be added
in full court.
The people’s assessors are elected from the people and have
the same sentencing rights at court.
It’s illegal for the judge to refuse.
It is said that Bian Xiaohui is the only daughter at home.
Her father Bian Chao was sentenced to 12 years in prison
because of practicing Falun Gong.
Bian Xiaohui held placards to protest at the prison door
and called for support from passersby as she was not allowed
to meet her dad by the prison.
This March, she was detained with her cousin and then
accused on the charge of using a cult organization to
undermine law enforcement.
Wang Quanzhang, lawyer, said it’s an obvious suppression
because for the authorities to accuse Bian Xiaohui is absurd.

The cars and trucks have to go through slowly under
the protection of large numbers of armed police.

several large Ningbo container fleets started to strike
from the 18th.
Currently, tens of thousands of vehicles are taking part
and nothing is resolved.
