2月18号，中共“中纪委”网站宣布，“海南省副省长冀文林涉嫌严重违纪违法，目前正接受组织调查”，网站没有公布冀文林涉事的详情。
但是，这个消息一出，立刻引起外界强烈关注，因为冀文林也与前中共政治局常委周永康关系密切。
据中共官方公布的简历，冀文林从1998年周永康任国土资源部部长开始，就长期担任周永康的秘书，并追随周永康从国土资源部到四川省，再到公安部。
据《法国国际广播电台》报导，周永康目前已经失去自由，被关押在内蒙古的某个城市，有传言说，他的长子周滨也被拘押同一地点。
《法广》评论说，冀文林的落马，让一度盛传的周永康案有望“软着陆”的传言破灭。
广州关闭活禽市场 两千业者省府抗议
H7N9禽流感疫情肆虐中国，中共官方宣传说，感染源来自活禽，使民众谈鸡色变，导致家禽养殖业经营困难。2月15号，广州市政府又宣布关闭活禽市场两个星期，更使家禽养殖业者损失惨重。
2月17号，广东近两千名家禽养殖户因不堪巨额损失，前往广东省政府抗议。
抗议者们拉着横幅，表达对政府的不满。横幅写有：“今天毕生化乌有，绝非H7N9！”、 “市场立马强闭！养禽等于枪毙！”等内容。
据《自由亚洲电台》报导，广州一家家禽养殖厂的刘先生表示，现在广东不少家禽养殖厂都倒闭了，其中包括江门一家大型养殖企业。
报导说，中共政府没有对这些受损失的业者，提供任何补贴和救助。
卖地款去向不明 村民维权被清场
2月17号，广东深圳市福田区下沙村的数百名村民静坐维权，抗议20多亿元卖地资金去向不明。
当局派出数百警察强行清场，导致一位60多岁的老太太当场昏迷，另一70多岁的老太太骨折。
据了解，下沙村村民因为同样的原因，曾经在1月份连续两天游行示威。

Zhou Yongkang’s Former Secretary Ji Wenji Sacked
On February 18, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Central
Discipline Inspection Commission website announced that
Hainan Vice Governor Ji Wenlin is under investigation due
to an allegedly serious violation of the law.
The website didn’t release details.
However, the news immediately aroused strong concerns
because Ji is close to the former Politburo Standing
Committee member Zhou Yongkang.
According to the CCP official resume, Ji Wenlin was Zhou
Yongkang’s long term secretary from 1998 when Zhou
Yongkang was Minister of Land and Resources.
He followed Zhou Yongkang from the Ministry of Land to
Sichuan Province, to the Ministry of Public Security.
According to the “Radio France Internationale" (RFI), Zhou
Yongkang is held in a city of Inner Mongolia without freedom.
It’s said that his eldest son, Zhou Bin is also
detained in the same place.
RFI commented that the sacking of Ji Wenlin shattered the
rumor of Zhou Yongkang’s “soft landing”.
Guangzhou Close Live Poultry Markets Creating Mass Protest
H7N9 bird flu is raging throughout China.
China’s official propaganda said that the infection source is
from live poultry.
It made the poultry market hard to run because people
turned pale at the mention of chicken.
By February 15, the Guangzhou municipal government two
week closure of live poultry markets made the industry
suffer heavy losses.
On February 17, nearly two thousand Guangdong poultry
farmers protested in front of the Guangdong provincial
government over their huge losses.
Protesters expressed their discontent to the government
with banners.
The banners read: “It’s not H7N9 to make us nothingness!",
“Closing markets is equal to shooting the poultry!!"
According to Radio Free Asia, a poultry farmer Mr. Liu said
a lot of poultry factories are closed in Guangdong, including
a large poultry enterprise in Jiangmen.
Report said that there are no subsidies and bailouts from the
CCP to cover these peoples’ losses.
Land Selling Money is Unaccounted For. Villagers Petition
But Are Removed
On February 17, hundreds of villagers of Shenzhen Futian
District held a sit-in protest for 20 million Yuan of lost land
sale funds.
The authorities sent hundreds of police to forcibly clear them,
resulting in a 60-year-old woman fainting on site and a 70-
yearold woman sustaining a fracture.
It is said that the Villagers demonstrated for two consecutive
days because of the same reason.
