【新唐人2014年10月29日訊】上個月28號凌晨，戴耀廷突然宣佈佔中行動啟動時，誰也沒有想到，這個運動竟然能持續一個月而不衰。當時外界的種種預測，經歷一個月後，有些得到印證了，有些卻又被打破。滿月後，佔中運動將走向何方？請看報導。
一個月前的28號，瀰漫著胡椒噴霧和催淚彈的街道，如今被一座座靜靜佇立的帳篷佔據。頂著各種各樣的預測、懷疑，佔中運動走過了一個月。
首先被打破的外界預測，是所謂的香港會「亂」。
在這一個月中，佔中抗議者們始終體現出了和平、理性的一面。儘管在10月初，有反佔中人士暴力衝擊旺角的佔中市民，甚至有黑社會介入，發生流血衝突，但佔中的學生和市民最終以一曲「祝你生日快樂」來回覆對方，將「雨傘抗暴」的精神一次又一次詮釋出來。
其次被打破的預測，是在最初的幾天過去後，大部分香港市民會漠不關心，漸漸離開。
事實上，在運動快要進入20天時，警方幾次凌晨清理路障之後，突然清場，但人們在晚上又重新聚集，加固路障。上週二港府和學聯的首次對話沒有結果，市民在失望之餘，仍然沒有退去。越來越多的香港人開始思考，甚麼是自己要的民主。
佔中民眾IRIS CHEUNG：「對香港人，或者對於學生來講，是一個很大的啟發。之前都覺得，做學生，或者做普通市民，對於政府的政策沒甚麼能做的，只能默默承受。」
《香港聯合報》專欄作家張成覺：「能夠堅持一個月已經很不容易了，這個本身就是好了。它的影響力很大。要求真普選的訴求深入人心，不但是深入香港人的人心，也深入國際輿論的圈子裡面。」
不過，有一個預測卻是這一個月來，都沒有被打破的。
張成覺：「政府方面你要希望它有甚麼大的讓步，這是不可能的。」
《人民日報》海外版，28號繼續將佔中運動和「顏色革命」扯上關係，並引用反佔中市民的話批評佔中。在一篇對香港福建社團聯會永遠榮譽主席林廣兆和胡國讚的專訪中，再次提到了「外國勢力介入」「搞亂香港，撕裂中國」等。
港人真普選的呼聲持續了一個月，政府卻仍然不回應。下一步佔中運動該怎麼走，眾說紛紜。有人認為現在撤退就代表失敗，有人認為應該從街頭回到社區，進一步普及民主訴求。
張成覺：「我覺得現在只有雙學（學聯、學民思潮）和（佔中）三子這方面，一步一步的回到社區，方為上策。」
目前，佔中發起人戴耀廷和陳健民已經表示，將會恢復上班，重回大學執教。但戴耀廷週二早上在金鐘佔領區表示，他並不是離開運動，也不是退場，更不是與學生各走各的路，在必要的教學外，大部分時間仍會在廣場。
戴耀廷在前一天也呼籲港府，考慮籌辦一項沒有約束力的全民公投，就中共人大常委8月31號的決議，讓香港人發表意見。戴耀廷說，港府一方面可以將公投的結果，作為撰寫民情報告的內容依據，交給中央。另一方面，也可以製造條件，讓市民思考，是否繼續留守在佔領區，還是返回社區繼續爭取真普選。
學聯秘書長周永康表示認同，但重申學聯的底線是撤回人大8月31號的決議。在這個框架下沒有再商討的空間。
同時，立法會泛民議員也表示，不排除發動請辭，然後以真普選作為政綱重新競選，等同發動全民公投，明確向中共表達香港人民對真普選的要求。

After one Month of Umbrella Campaign in Hong Kong,
Where is the Democratic Path Leading?
Exactly one month ago, Benny Tai decided upon announcing
the start of the Occupy Central movement.
Nobody would have thought the action would have lasted
one month without any let up.
At the time of the movement, many predicted how the event
would go, some predictions have come to fruition whilst
others did not.
One month has passed, where is the future of the Occupy
Central Movement? Let us see the story.
On Sept. 28, the streets were filled with pepper spray and tear gas,
but now they are quietly occupied by many tents.
Facing a variety of forecasts and suspicions,
the Occupy Central Movement still continues strong.
The first broken prediction made by outsiders, is the so-called
Hong Kong “chaos".
During the period of this one month, Occupy Central
protesters always reflected a peaceful and rational side.
Although in early October, some anti-Occupy Central rioters
assaulted the Occupy Central participants,
and even the underworld intervened, which produced incidents
of bloodshed.
The students and public alike, defiantly stood their ground,
replying to the attackers with the song, “Happy Birthday to You".
This interprets the spirit of “resisting violence by umbrellas",
again and again.
The second broken forecast made by some individuals, was
the indifference and gradual dispersing of most Hong Kong
people after a few days of protest.
In fact, when the movement had nearly reached its 20th day,
police came and cleared the roadblocks and students.
This however, triggered a response the authorities and skeptics
did not envisage, a re-gathering and enhancement of roadblocks.
Despite there being no positive result with the first round
of dialogue between Government and Federation of Students,
and with citizens being disappointed with this outcome,
they persisted with their protest.
More and more Hong Kong people began to think more deeply
about what it is they want and expect from democracy.
23 year old protester Iris Cheung: “For Hong Kong people
and students, this has been a huge inspiration.
Previously I’d always thought, as a student and an ordinary
person, you can’t do anything and can only quietly accept
government policies."
Zhang Chengjue, former columnist of Hong Kong United
Daily News says:
“Adhering to one month protest has been amazing,
and this in itself is a good deed. It has had great influence.
The requirement of true universal suffrage is popular,
not only welcome by Hong Kong people,
but also by the circle of international public opinion."
However, there is only one prediction
that has not been broken during this one month.
Chengjue Zhang: “If you count on the Government making
any significant concession, then it is impossible."
On Oct. 28, “People’s Daily" Overseas Edition, continued
to accuse the Occupy Central movement as a sort
of “colour revolution",
and also citing the words of the anti-Occupy Central
citizens to criticise the movement.
In an article about interviewing Lam Kwong Siu and Guozan Hu,
who both share in the role of honourable Chairmen of Hong Kong
Federation of Fujian Associations,
they once again referred to the “foreign intervention" as,
“messing with Hong Kong and tearing apart China" etc.
The voice of Hong Kong people for true universal suffrage
has lasted for one month now,
but the government still does not respond to it.
How is the next step of the campaign going to go and in what
direction will it follow?
Different people have different opinions.
Some people think that the retreat means failure.
While others feel more people should stand with the movement,
from grass roots people to mainstream society, standing together
as one voice demanding democracy.
Chengjue Zhang: “I think the Hong Kong Federation
of Students (HKFS),
Scholarism and Occupy Central With Love And Peace shall
return to the community step by step,
and this might be the best strategy."
At present, the Occupy Central sponsors Benny Tai
and Chan Kin Man have said that they will resume
work as teachers at their universities.
But Benny Tai said in the occupied area in Admiralty
on Tuesday morning, that he was not leaving the movement,
nor exit, or on different roads to the students.
Excluding working for the necessary teaching activities,
he will stay in the square most of the time.
Also, Benny Tai called upon the Government to consider
planning for a non-binding referendum
on the resolution made by CCP’s National People Conference
Standing Committee (NPCSC) on Aug. 31,
allowing Hong Kong people free expression of their views.
Benny Tai said that the Government could report
the outcome of the referendum to the Central Government.
On the other hand, this could offer conditions to allow citizens
the choice of whether to stay in the occupied areas,
or return back to the community continuing to strive for true
universal suffrage.
HKFS Secretary General Alex Chow agrees, but reiterated
the bottom line is that the withdrawal of the resolution is made
by NPCSC on August 31st.
Under this framework there is no room for further discussion.
Meanwhile, Pan-Democratic Legislative Council Members
have said, they do not rule out launching a resignation,
and then using true universal suffrage as a political platform
to re-elect the members, which equates to launching a referendum,
making a clear expression to CCP for Hong Kong people’s demands
on true universal suffrage.
