8月18號，濟南中級法院在新浪微博上發佈簡短公告說，薄熙來案將於8月22號開庭審理。消息立刻引起大陸網友的熱烈議論，也被國際媒體廣泛轉載、評論。
很多網友要求審判現場直播，但是，也有很多人認為，那是「斷無可能」的。
復旦大學法學院教授謝佑平認為，薄案有六大看點，包括庭前會議與法庭審理的時間長度比、薄熙來本人的辯解、出庭證人與其他證人的證言、辯護律師、薄熙來的最後陳述，以及量刑結果等。
不過，目前，有關薄熙來開庭的新聞在大陸網絡上仍然遭到嚴格的管控，激烈的批判薄和力挺薄的言論都被刪除。
而海外媒體也對這起涉及中共最大政治醜聞案件的開審，表示極大興趣。
《美聯社》評論說，這個即將開始的審判，得以讓中共新領導人了結一樁令他們痛恨的醜聞。
英國《衛報》估計，8月22號對薄熙來的庭審可能持續一天，法官可能會在幾個星期之後宣佈對他的判決。
《紐約時報》認為，是政治因素決定如何審判薄熙來，而且庭審時拿出多少證據，取決於中共希望懲罰薄的程度。
總部設在美國的《大紀元時報》則披露，薄熙來案的核心機密只在中共最高層流傳。
報導說，薄案有兩大致命罪行仍然被掩蓋，一個是活體摘取法輪功學員的器官和屍體販賣﹔另一個是與周永康策劃政變，企圖取代習近平。
全球最大金融服務集團之一的美國「摩根大通」公司，因涉嫌聘用中共高官子女，來幫助獲取在中國獲得利潤豐厚的業務，已被美國聯邦機構調查。
《紐約時報》8月17號援引政府秘密文件報導說，其中一個案子是中國前銀行監管者、現任光大集團董事長唐雙寧的兒子唐曉寧。記錄顯示，光大集團董事長之子入職摩根大通後，摩根大通從光大集團拿到了多個令人垂涎的項目，其中包括為光大集團一個子公司發行股票提供顧問服務。
而摩根大通香港公司則僱用了前鐵道部高官張曙光的女兒，文件顯示，張曙光之女的入職時機，正巧在中國鐵路集團選擇摩根大通擔任上市顧問之前。張曙光後來因為腐敗醜聞被逮捕。

Bo Xilai’s Impending Trial Receiving Attention From Netizens
And Oversea Media
On August 18, Jinan intermediate court announced on Sina
Weibo that Bo Xilai’s trial will open on August 22.
The news immediately aroused mainland netizens’ intense
discussions, with wide commentary by international media.
Many netizens are requesting live broadcast of the trial,
but many others think that thats impossible.
Law professor Xie Youping from Fudan University indicates
six highlights of Bo Xilai case;
They are the length ratio of pretrial meetings and court
proceedings.
The other are Bo Xilai’s self defence, witnesses’ testimony,
defence lawyer, Bo’s final statement, and sentencing result.
News about Bo’s trial is currently under strict control
on the internet in mainland China.
Comments strongly supporting Bo and strongly criticizing
Bo are all deleted.
Oversea media are very interested in the trial related to the
biggest political scandal of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
AP’s comments are that the coming trial “puts China’s new
leaders on track to wrap up a festering scandal as they try to
cement their authority.”
The Guardian reported that “the trial is likely to last about one
day, with the judgment probably delivered a few weeks later.”
Chen Ziming tells NYT that how much evidence they present
will depend on how severely the CCP wants to punish Bo.
Epoch Times reveals that the core secret of Bo Xilai case
is only known among the CCP high level.
The report says two fatal crimes of Bo are still hidden.
One crime is live organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners
and selling dead bodies.
The other crime is plotting a coup with Zhou Yongkang,
attempting to take Xi Jinping’s position.
JPMorgan Chase Investigated For Hiring Chinese Communist
Party Princeling
JPMorgan Chase, one of the biggest financial service groups,
was under FBI’s investigation.
The bank is suspected of employing sons and daughters of the
Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials so it obtains business.
NYT quoted a confidential government document in its report
on August 17 that one of the cases is about Tang Xiaoning.

Tang Xiaoning is the son of Tang Shuangning, chairman of
the China Everbright Group.
The record shows that “after the chairman’s son came on
board, JPMorgan secured multiple coveted assignments from
the Chinese conglomerate, including advising a subsidiary
of the company on a stock offering.”
JP Morgan’s Hong Kong branch hired Zhang Xixi, daughter
of former Chinese railway official Zhang Shuguang.
The document shows that Zhang Xixi came right before the
Chinese railway group selected JPMorgan to advise on its
plans to become a public company. Zhang Shuguang was
later arrested for corruption.
