涉劉志軍案 山西女富豪女兒受審
4月17號，山西女商人丁書苗的女兒侯軍霞，因涉原鐵道部長劉志軍貪腐案，在北京受審。
據《英國廣播公司》「BBC中文網」報導，與侯軍霞一起受審的還有江西南昌贛鵬集團董事長胡斌等5人，被指控罪名爲非法經營罪。
侯軍霞被列爲第四被告人，其餘被告人多是在鐵路工程項目招投標過程中，擔任“中間人”角色的相關人員，丁書苗本人未被同案公訴。
庭審在北京市第二中級法院進行，不對媒體開放旁聽。所有參加劉志軍系列案件訴訟的辯護律師，也都在有關機關簽署了保密協定，被要求不得向外界透露案件情況。
報導說，在十多年中，原鐵道部部長劉志軍通過干預招投標方式，爲女晉商丁書苗在投資高鐵相關産業、中標鐵路工程等方面提供幫助，丁書苗通過向中標企業獲取“好處費”等方式，涉嫌從中非法獲利30億元。
湖南被指瞞報H7N9病例
大陸媒體報導，湖南省衛生廳週三上午通報一例H7N9回顧性病例，指患者是2歲小孩，3月17號出現發熱，4月7號H7N9禽流感病毒核酸陽性。湖南官方十天後才通報病例，引發民衆不滿，被認為是瞞報。
網友「李振豪Andy」評論說：「湖南3月份就有H7N9了，今天才通報。恐怕遭封鎖的消息不止這一條吧。瞞報了就瞞報了，還甚麽回顧性病例，創造性辭彙呀！統一口徑，按序發佈資訊。這招太狠了。」
數百村民持農具與警對峙兩晝夜
浙江省慈溪市大灣村數百村民，為了捍衛土地，4月15、16號，連續兩天拿著農具，與當局強拆人員對峙。
《自由亞洲電臺》報導，據當地村民介紹，15號深夜，當局派來大批拆遷人員，並駛來多輛工程車，村民發現後立即召集人員進行阻止，圍堵強拆隊抗議，並扣押了多輛工程車。
當局隨後派出大批頭戴鋼盔的警察，多次試圖取回工程車，但沒有成功，於是拉出警戒線，與村民對峙。
目前，事件還在僵持中。

Daughter Of Shanxi’s Richest Woman On Trial
Hao Junjia is the daughter of Ding Shumuao,
Shanxi’s richest woman.
On April 17th, Hao stood trial in Beijing, for involvement/ in
the former Minister of Railways, Liu Zhijun’s corruption case.
According to BBC reports, there are five people on trial in
Liu’s case, including Hao Junjia and Hu Bindeng from Jiangxi.
They are charged with committing crimes of illegal business.
Hau Junxia is the fourth defendant; the other defendants
are “middlemen"in the railway projects bidding process.
Ding Shumiao is not being charged in this case.
The trial is held in the Beijing Second Intermediate
People’s Court, which is closed to the media.
All defense lawyers have had to sign a confidentiality
agreement not to reveal information outside the court.
Apparently for more than a decade,
Liu Zhijun, former Minister of Railways,
helped business woman Ding Shumao invest in high-speed
rail industry, through intervention of the bidding process.
As a result, Ding made profits of more than 3 billion yuan.
Hunan Accused Of Concealing H7N9 Cases
On April 17th Mainland media reported that Hunan Provincial
Health Department listed one case of H7N9 retrospectively.
The patient is a 2-year-old child, with a fever on March 17th.
On April 7th, the H7N9 avian influenza virus test was positive.
Hunan officials have waited for 10 days to report this case.
The public are unhappy, accusing the Hunan
local government of concealing the case.
One netizen said: “Hunan had a H7N9 case, and they reported
it today. I am afraid they did not conceal only this one case.
Why bother to call it a retrospective case?
They just want to create a new vocabulary!
Follow the procedure and give us the information."
Hundreds Of Villagers Confront Police For Two Days
On April 15th and 16th hundreds of villagers
from Dawan, Zhejiang Province,
carried farm tools and confronted authorities
to defend their land against forced demolition.
Radio Free Asia reported from local sources that
on the night of April 15th,
authorities sent a large number of demolition workers
and many engineering vehicles.
Villagers immediately gathered around
the demolition team, seizing many vehicles.
Authorities dispatched a large number of police, who tried
to get the engineering vehicles back, but without success.
So, they sounded the alarm and confronted the villagers.
At the moment the incident is still at a deadlock.
