【新唐人2011年9月14日訊】第26屆「世界預防自殺大會」9月13號在北京召開，會議將持續5天。中國每年有近二十九萬人自殺，佔全世界自殺者的三分之一。一些學者認為，中國的高自殺率，完全是由於破壞傳統文化和暴政統治的結果，而黨文化教育使人更加不尊重生命、對生命感到脆弱。
《美國之音》報導，「世界衛生組織」最近表示，全世界每年有90萬到100萬人自殺身亡。中國官方的「疾病預防控制中心」在2007年刊登的一篇文章說，中國每年有近二十九萬人自殺。也就是說，全世界大約每三個自殺者當中就有一個是中國人，中國的自殺率遠遠高於世界平均水準。
原北京「首都師範大學」教育科學學院副教授李元華認為，中國的高自殺率是不正常的一種現象。他分析有三種原因：
李元華：“除了一些有疾病的那種之外，更多的是一個社會現實：逼迫的人無路可走，只能選擇自殺來抗議。有相當一部分人是由於受到中共的方方面面的迫害，沒法生活下去了，以死來抗爭，選擇自殺。再有一個中國社會的教育很成問題，在中共黨文化的教育下，年輕人對活著的意義並不明白，一旦遇到挫折的話，也是選擇自殺。”
中國去年，接連十幾宗的「富士康」跳樓自殺事件，令全世界至今還難以忘懷；而為對抗強拆的跳樓、自焚事件更是不絕於耳。
心理學教授孫延軍，對宗教也有深刻的研究。他認為，中國傳統儒釋道三教對待生命的態度十分珍惜與重視，對生命十分關懷，但從5.4運動之後，特別是中共統治後，由於對傳統觀念大肆清洗，使中華民族的傳統信仰被徹底摧毀。
孫延軍（原北京「首都師範大學」教授）：“中國的傳統到了中共這塊斷裂了，民眾對生命也不關懷了，對傳統信仰也不再信奉了，所以精神上墮落了，這樣一來沒有信念了，也沒有甚麼禁忌了。所以對生命不是太珍惜了、不是太重視了。”
孫延軍教授認為，中共在中國推行的是專制暴政，對各階層的民眾進行了無孔不入的控制，各階層的人身自由度越來越少；同時官僚階層大肆攫取社會財富，造成社會分化極度不平衡；加上墮落的教育體制和宣傳，使民眾價值觀念扭曲，追求的不是歸於對神的精神信仰，而是極端的物質享受。而這一切卻容易造成心理失衡。
孫延軍：“在精神上找不到家園，現實中他也找不到家園，沒法休息、沒法調整，社會沒有給他調整的空間。生活沒有了彈性，自然環境被嚴重破壞，就使整個民族陷入了生存危機之中。所以在中國大陸的生活，各階層進入了人間地獄的狀況。所以說，這種自殺完全是中共對傳統信仰的破壞和摧殘、中共專制暴政造成的一種結果。”
孫延軍教授認為，在這樣的背景條件下，中國召開這樣的會議效果有限。
孫延軍：“如果不從根本上解決信仰問題，不重建中國民眾的信仰，不徹底提升整個社會的道德意識，道德水準，不給中國民眾人權和自由的話，再用甚麼樣的會議、專題無濟於事的。”
不過，孫延軍教授表示，在整個社會心理狀況日益惡化的情況下，中共政權沒有及時的建立起一套知識系統和關懷系統，給中國民眾提供心理上的支援，這也是需要反思的。

Suicide Prevention Conference Held in Response to High Suicide Rates

The 26th “World Suicide Prevention Conference” was held
in Beijing on September 13.
Almost 290,000 people commit suicide annually in China.
This represents one third of all the suicides worldwide.
Scholars believe that the damaged traditional culture and values
and the dictating regime are the leading causes.
Furthermore, the education of Party culture that ignores human lives
makes it even worse.

VOA reported that the WHO recently stated that 900K to 1 million
people die from suicide yearly.
According to Chinese Centre for Disease Control and Prevention,
about 290,000 Chinese people die from suicide annually.
It means one third of the people who die from suicide are Chinese.
China’s suicide rate is much higher than the world record.
Li Yuanhua, former Assoc. Professor of Education and Science
at Beijing Capital Normal University, believes the high suicide rate
in China is abnormal. There are three leading causes:
Li: “Besides the cases related to disease, more are caused by
the social reality: the dispirited feel forced to live inhumanely
and choose suicide to protest.
The majority were persecuted by Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
There is no hope to live, so they choose suicide.
The last cause is the social education problem caused by the CCP』s
education of its party culture.
The young people don』t understand the meaning of life,
so when they encounter hardship, they choose suicide.
Last year, the series of ten “Foxconn” suicide incidents
was unforgettable.
However, even with protests and awareness efforts to put an end to it,
jumping suicide and self-immolation suicide never stopped.
Psychology professor, Sun Yanjun who has profound knowledge of
religious studies, believes that Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism
cherish life and have concern for life.
But since the students uprising during the “5.4 Campaign” in 1919,
especially after the CCP controlled China,
the traditional Chinese culture was completely ruined.
Sun Yanjun: “Chinese tradition was ruined by the CCP.
People do not care for life and believe in traditional values,
so their spirits have degenerated.
In this way, they have no faith and nothing is taboo.
So they do not cherish and value life much."
Prof. Sun Yanjun pointed out the CCP implemented tyranny
in China, and it controlled people from various social strata.
People lost their freedom more and more.
At the same time, people from the bureaucracy stratum grabbed
the wealth of society vigorously, making the community divided
and extremely unbalanced.
The degenerate education system and propaganda made people』s
values distorted. They did not pursue belief in God,
but rather extreme material comforts.
All of this likely caused a psychological imbalance.
Sun: “People cannot find their spiritual center. In reality,
they also can not find homes. So they can not rest and adjust,
and society does not give them room for adjustment.
Life lacks flexibility and the natural environment is severely
damaged, sending the entire nation into a survival crisis mode.
Therefore, in mainland China, people from all sectors are
in the situation that feels like a hell on earth.
Suicide is the result of destruction and devastation of
Chinese traditional beliefs and Communist tyranny."
Professor Sun said that under these conditions, when Chinese
officials hold such a conference, the effect is limited.
Sun: “If you do not fundamentally solve the problem of faith,
don’t rebuild Chinese people’s beliefs, and do not completely
upgrade the whole society’s moral awareness and standards,
and withhold human rights and freedoms from Chinese people,
no kind of meeting will not help these matters.”
However, Prof. Sun said that while the psychological situation
in all social strata is deteriorating, the communist regime
did not timely establish a set of knowledge systems and care
systems to provide psychological support to the Chinese people.
