Retired civil servant Sariban patrols the Indonesian city of Bandung as an unpaid, one-man cleaning crew.
退休公務員沙里班以一位「無給職一人清潔小組」，在印尼萬隆市區巡邏。
He sweeps streets and gardens, sorts waste, yanks out nails from trees and scrapes posters from walls.
他打掃街道和公園、做垃圾分類、從樹幹上拔出釘子，並且刮乾淨牆上的海報。
Sariban hopes the local government will one day follow his lead.
沙里班希望地方政府有一天能起而效尤。
[Sariban, Retired Civil Servant]:
“The government should not just pass regulations. They have to show the people how to do it, practice it. Not just keep quiet when they see people litter."
沙里班，這位退休的公務員說道：「政府不應該只是通過一些規章，他們應該告訴人們怎麼做並且付諸實行。當看見人們亂丟時，政府不應只是保持緘默。」
He takes that message to people on the streets, singing songs to promote a cleaner city.
他把這個訊息告訴街上的人，並且邊唱著歌邊打掃，來讓都市的整潔升級。

“I am doing this because I think that if we live in a clean environment, our lives would be healthier."
退休的公務員沙里班說：「我之所以會這麼做，是因為我認為如果我們能住在一個乾淨的環境，那麼我們的身體一定會更健康。」
The 67-year-old man tours the city twice each day and other residents welcome his regular patrols.
這位67歲的老先生每天巡視都市兩遍，其他的居民也很歡迎他這種規律性的巡邏。

“Not many people would do what he does to the city. He takes care of the city’s waste. I appreciate him for what he does."
馬克思，一位萬隆市的居民說：「不見得有很多的人願意像他這樣為本市付出，他把都市的垃圾做了處理，我要感謝他所作的一切。」
Sariban’s volunteer work is important for Bandung, which faces floods each year.
沙里班的義工工作，對每年都會面臨洪患的萬隆市來說，是非常重要的。
More than one thousand people evacuated the city in early March after garbage clogged streams and the river overflowed.
三月初，在垃圾堵塞了溪流，並且造成河川氾濫成災之後，有1000多人從城市撤離。
