Ni hao. My name is David Cohen and I represent District 4 on San Jose City Council. District 4 is Berryessa, North San Jose, and Alviso. It’s been a great year in San Jose, but I’m really excited that the Berryessa School District has expanded our Mandarin Immersion Program, the first such program in the City of San Jose, to sixth grade. So now elementary and middle school students are studying Mandarin. And the City of San Jose has adopted an annual Lunar New Year holiday. I wish you all a happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year.
