Yu Ming’s Wife Tries to Rescue Him From The U.S. From Trumped-up Charges in China.
On Oct. 31 an illegal trial of 3 Falun Gong practitioners held for a year opened at Shenhe District Court in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. The court adjourned when one of the practitioners refused his court assigned defense attorney. One of the three practitioners, Yu Ming is a young entrepreneur being illegally detained for the fourth time. The court has rejected his case twice for lack of evidence in the trumped-up accusations by the authorities. Yu’s wife in San Francisco has publicly protested calling on the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to release Yu. Let’s take a look.
“I’m here today to request the release of my husband Yu Ming."
Ma Li, resident of San Francisco in the U.S., is protesting against the CCP’s persecution of her husband Yu Ming and other Falun Gong practitioners, in front of the Chinese embassy in San Francisco.
Yu and two other Falun Gong practitioners were on an illegal trial in Shenyang on Oct. 31. Yu’s defend lawyer Wang Quanzhang told NTD the trial was adjourned because another Falun Gong practitioner Gao Jingqun refused to use the lawyer the court assigned for him, and insisted on using his own lawyer. The trial will open again on Nov. 18.
Yu, 43 years old, is a well-known entrepreneur in Shenyang.20 years ago, with a dream to have his fiancée wear clothes she loves, Yu who worked in a restaurant decided to open a garment factory. Yu accumulated a lot of wealth within a few years, and had nearly 100 staff. Yu also helped his mother establish a charity to shelter left- alone elderly, homeless children and people with disabilities.
Yu Ming’s wife Ma Li: “After he started practicing Falun Gong, his wisdom increased, and he built good habits and customs. His temper was bad when he was younger. He earned some money, and just had beer and skittles. After he started practicing, he’s always considerate of others, taking good care of both of our parents. He’s suffered all kinds of unfair treatments in these years, but he’s been always very friendly and kind to people."
However, as a successful young businessman, Yu suffered nearly 8 years imprisonment. Yu had high voltage electric shocks, was tied to a torture bed, chained with a dog leash, put in small dark cell, exposed to strong sun light, frozen, force feed, had fingers pierced with bamboo sticks, and all kinds of other brutal tortures.
The Epoch Times reported, prison guards tied Yu on a bed board, and shocked him with several 30,000-volt electric batons for a whole morning at Beijing Tuanhe Labor Camp in March 2002.It was to ensure 100% conversion of Falun Gong practitioners. With a shock from one of those electric batons, a cow would fall to the ground instantly.
It’s his fourth time being detained. CCP general secretary Xi Jinping attended the National Games last August. The state security heavily arrested Falun Gong practitioners during the games. Yu successfully escaped, and wrote an open letter to Xi to reflect the condition. Later Yu went back home to take care of his young child. Police took Yu away from his home in October, while Yu was holding his 2 year-old son in his arms.
Ma Li: “He [the son] was severely terrified, and didn’t speak for a long time. He’s three now, but can’t speak clearly at all."
Ma Li: “My daughter turns 15 this year, but her father hasn’t been around for nearly 10 years. She lacks her father
s love."
This year, the authorities firstly accused Yu of “using cult to undermine law enforcement". But the court returned the case due to lack of evidence. The authority then changed the accusation to “subversion of state power". This was rejected by the court again for “lack of evidence. “On the illegal trial on Oct. 31, the authority accused Yu again with “using cult to undermine law enforcement".
During detention this year, Yu was extorted to confess through all kinds of brutal tortures.
Ma Li: “They used very heavy objects to punch his chest, which caused sudden cardiac arrest of him. They used pins to pierce his fingernails."
According to Minghui website, Yu went on hunger strike to protest against the violence of prison guards.
Wang Yunbo, Falun Gong practitioner: “During the forced feeding, a pipe as thick as a finger was stuck in my nostril. They pulled it back and forth for a long time. When they took the pipe out, it was bloody all over.During the second forced feeding, the wound just formed as cab, and it broke the scab and they continue to force feed."
Wang is also a Falun Gong practitioner in Shenyang, now living in San Francisco. He’s also here to rescue Yu Ming.Wang started to practice Falun Gong in his third year in college. He was taken away by police from school, and was directly put in prison for 6 years.
