【新唐人2014年6月26日讯】由新唐人电视台和大纪元联合举办的亚洲美食节暨中国菜厨技大赛，6月25日在纽约时代广场鸣锣开幕。 新唐人总裁唐忠在现场致开幕词指出，五年前新唐人第一次在时代广场办全世界中国菜厨技大赛，将时代广场打造成长安古城，希望发扬中华传统美食。今天在时代广场举办亚洲美食月，希望把办中国菜厨技大赛的理念延伸至亚洲各国，在世界之都传扬亚洲美食。

五年前新唐人第一次在时代广场办全世界中国菜厨技大赛，用火的艺术与来自对食物的爱与用心，将时代广场打造成一千多年前繁华多彩的唐代长安城。把中华美食从世界各地集结到这里来展现，至今参加过这个赛事的中华料理厨师超过五百人，我们希望把真正的传统中国菜找回来，就如唐代文化的精神，宽广包容利己利人。因此美食也成为文化的一部分传至各地。
今天我们办亚洲美食月，希望把办中国厨技大赛的理念延伸至亚洲各国。 让亚洲各国的美食在这世界之都发光发亮。
为何会有美食， 不论在东西方都一样，因为你在意对方的感受，因为你希望为一个人付出，因为希望他能感到幸福，人的文化因此而伟大。这个爱的动机不论时代如何变迁都不会过 时，只有更加隽永。
今天我们很高兴也很荣幸请到这么多厨师，美食家，艺术家，在这里共襄盛会。
建立东西方桥梁，自由信息，独立敢言，找回失落的美好传统文化一直是我们媒体的使命。

Five years ago, NTD Television held our first International Chinese Culinary Competition at Times Square. Using the art of fire and a love for food, we transformed this space into the ancient Tang Dynasty capital of Chang-An from 1000 years ago.
We gathered the best of Chinese cuisine from around the world, and to date we have had over 500 contestants participate in this competition. As we rediscover authentic, traditional Chinese cooking and share it with the world, we also want to rediscover the cultural spirit of Tang Dynasty, which is an open and accepting spirit.
Today, we expand our event format to the Taste Asia Food Festival. We want not just Chinese cuisine, but the cuisine of Asia to shine here at the Crossroads of the World.
No matter which culture you come from, gourmet food is the result of one preparing food with his or her heart. The cook wants the person eating that food to feel the love, and this love will not change because of geography or time.
We are happy and honored to be joined by so many chefs and artists here, to build a bridge together. Our mission at NTD Television is to:

– Promote traditional culture
– Broad independent, uncensored news
