【新唐人2014年02月22日讯】乌克兰民众捣毁大批列宁塑像
乌克兰反政府示威去年11月爆发以来,乌克兰民众捣毁推倒、毁坏列宁塑像的行动一直没有停息,大量列宁塑像已经被推倒、毁坏。最近几天,又有一大批列宁塑像被推倒。
据《美国之音》报导,2月20号,在乌克兰西部的日托米尔市,数千名市民推倒了一尊位于市中心的10米高的列宁塑像。他们把绳索套在塑像的脖子上,然后用大货车牵拉,当塑像头朝下轰然倒地时,在旁边的人群立刻响起欢呼声。列宁倒地后,头部立刻被一块块敲成碎片。
同一天,在乌克兰的其他几个城市,市民也用几乎同样的方式,推倒列宁塑像。这些列宁像有的被涂上了油漆,有的被砸掉了鼻子、眉毛和部分脸部。
报导说,一些乌克兰民众认为,列宁像不但像征着苏联过去对乌克兰的占领,更代表着专制,落后的文明和暴力。
乌克兰的反政府示威演变成血腥暴力事件,防暴警察和反政府抗议者在基辅市中心爆发冲突,造成近80人丧生。
21号,乌克兰总统和反对派领导人签署协议,使局势出现了转机。
据报导,协议内容包括修宪、筹组联合政府和提前举行总统选举。
追查国际:中共巨额勒索法轮功学员
总部设在美国的“追查迫害法轮功国际组织”(简称追查国际),2月20号发布追查中共对法轮功学员重大敲诈勒索案通告。
通告说,山东省济南市市中区兴隆庄的女法轮功学员柴迪云,马年新年前夕,被济南市历城区仲宫派出所警察非法抓捕,现在被非法关押在济南市看守所内。
日前,柴迪云在海外的亲友打电话给案件承办人—-仲宫派出所警察米光亮,要求他释放柴迪云。米光亮回答说,他手中掌握着柴迪云的生死,签一个字就可以放人,但是,柴迪云的家人必须支付高达500万元人民币的 “酬金”。
北京维权人士曹顺利病危 各界关注
北京维权人士曹顺利病危的消息,已经引起国际关注,海外人权组织“中国人权”和“国际特赦”都对事件表示关注。
“国际特赦”组织2月21号发表声明,呼吁中共当局立即无条件释放她,并要求当局确保曹顺利立即接受治疗,确保能获得家人和律师会见的权利。
人权组织“中国人权”也发布了曹顺利病情危重的消息。
而2月21号闻讯前往医院探望曹顺利的30多名在京访民,则全部被警方带走关押。
已经转到北京309医院救治曹顺利,目前情况仍然危殆,需要呼吸机帮助呼吸。

Ukrainian Citizens Destroy A Large Number of Lenin Statues
Since the eruption of anti-government demonstrations
in Ukraine last November, the Ukrainian people tore down,
smashed, and destroyed Lenin statues.
A large number of Lenin statues have been torn down
and destroyed.
In recent days, several more Lenin statues were pulled down.
According to the Voice of America, on Feb. 20,
thousands of people pulled down a 10-meter-high Lenin
statue located in the center of Zhitomir.
They placed a rope around the statue’s neck, then pulled
the statue down with a large truck.
The crowd cheered immediately when the statue
fell head first.
The head of the statue immediately smashed
into pieces on the ground.
On the same day, people used the same method to pull down
the Lenin statue in several other Ukrainian cities.
Some of these Lenin statues which were coated in paint
had its nose, eyebrows and other parts of the face shattered.
The report said that some people believe the Lenin statues
are not only a symbol of Soviet occupation, but also
a representation of an autocratic, backward civilization
as well as violence.
Ukraine’s anti-government demonstrations turned into bloody
violence between riot police and anti-government protesters,
resulting in nearly 80 deaths.
Feb. 21, the President of Ukraine and opposition leaders
signed an agreement to bring change to the situation.
The agreement includes a constitutional amendment to form
a coalition government and hold early presidential elections.
WOIPFG: CCP Huge Extortion From Falun Gong Practitioners
Headquartered in US, World Organization
to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong
(WOIPFG) released the notice on Feb. 20 of the CCP’s
extortion of Falun Gong practitioners.
The notice said Shandong female Falun Gong practitioner
Chai Diyun was illegally arrested by Zhong Gong J police
station on New Year’s Eve of the year of the horse
and now detained at the Jinan Detention.
Recently, Chai Diyun’s overseas relative called case
undertaker Mi Guangliang to ask for the release Chai Diyun.
Mi Guangliang replied that he grasped the life and death
of Chai Diyun and only needed one signature.
However, Chai Diyun’s family must pay up
to a 500 million yuan commission fee.
Beijing Activist Cao Shunli’s Critical Condition Draws Public Concern
Beijing activist Cao Shunli’s case has attracted international
attention.
The overseas human rights organizations “Human Rights
in China" and “Amnesty International" have expressed
concern about it.
On Feb. 21, Amnesty International organization issued
a statement requesting her immediate release
with no conditions and to ensure medical treatment.
They also requested the right for her family to meet
with lawyers.
The human rights organization Human Rights in China
also released news about Cao Shunli’s critical condition.
On Feb. 21 more than 30 petitioners who visited Cao Shunli
in the hospital were taken away by police.
Cao Shunli has been transferred to Beijing 309 Hospital
in critical condition and needs a ventilator to breath.
