【新唐人2012年9月4日讯】中国大陆一批亲历毛泽东政治运动的历史老人，日前联名上书中共十八大，要求彻底清算“文革”元凶——毛泽东的滔天罪行，引发各界很大反响与支持。但他们同时也受到了一些狂热毛派分子赤裸裸的恐吓与威胁。下面请看本台记者的报导。
成都20多位老知识份子和历史老人联名上书十八大的这份公开信，是由作家铁流和廖赤明起草的。他们也因此成为了毛派分子的主要攻击对像。
公开信起草人、大陆作家铁流：“你看骂我们的话，发给我们的（短信），多血腥啊！要上门杀我全家。骂我们是汉奸，开口就老东西、老杂种、老不死，就是骂的。一天几十个电话、上百个电话威胁我。”
老人们介绍，9月1号晚9点到夜间1点钟，毛派分子有组织的轮番多次咒骂老人，并进行生命威胁。
9月2号，老人们在忍无可忍之下，将毛左们的恐吓言行和电话号码在网上公开曝光，并正告这些毛派人士，他们已经触犯法律。老人们指出，如果公开信有违背事实的地方，毛派们可以写文章反驳，为什么非要采用“文革”似的血腥暴力语言进行威胁呢？
老人们强调：他们不会退缩，更不会改变观点。毛泽东是“文革”的元凶，“浩劫”的首恶，必须清算他反人类的罪行。
历史老人罗开文：“我既然签了字，我就应该坚持。我不怕什么人恐吓我，我已经做了最坏的打算——被他们杀掉。他们杀吧，让全世界来看，让全世界来评论。我觉得把我杀死，杀我全家，杀全国人民，也把真理扳不过来，真理在我们这边。”
老人们再次用事实历数毛泽东发动“文革”的罪恶。老人们指出，这场所谓的“无产阶级文化大革命”摧毁了中华民族五千年优秀传统文化，祸根只在于毛泽东想要推卸三年大饥荒饿死数千万人的罪责，维护个人的绝对权威。
文革期间，毛泽东鼓动“红卫兵”打砸抢、抄家，大搞“武斗”，致使神州大地一片血腥。
从1966年6月至1974年11月，被毛泽东迫害至死、自杀的领导人有120人，各界精英达12,000多人。文革中，全国有1亿人被批斗，2000万人死于非命。
另一方面，文革对历史文物、传统文化的损毁和批判，也到了极点。1958年北京市有6843处古迹，文革中有4,922处遭到破坏。
铁流对《新唐人》表示，文革过去了几十年，但毛泽东仍然阴魂不散，导致今天很多社会问题无法解决。他认为，薄熙来打着毛泽东的旗号想要篡权，再搞一次文革。中共高层应该抓住薄熙来垮台这一机会，彻底清算毛泽东的罪行，甩掉这一历史包袱。
铁流：“但是至今中共不敢说毛泽东是文革元凶，不敢说他是‘浩劫’的祸首。中共至今不清算毛泽东的罪恶，造成今天动荡不安的局面。现在任何一个人起来举个毛泽东旗号，他们就不敢吭声。”
铁流强调，目前“倒毛”、彻底清算毛泽东的罪行是中国社会的一个根本问题，海内外的华人都应为此而努力。只有这个问题解决了，中国才有机会实现自由与民主。

Tie liu Receives Threats Submitting a Letter, Asking to Liquidate
the Memory of Mao.
A group of historical elders who witnessed Mao Zedong’s
political movement in mainland China,
recently submitted a joint letter to the Chinese Communist
Party’s (CCP) 18th National Congress,
appealing to purge the culprit of the “Cultural Revolution" —
heinous crimes of Mao Zedong, which sparked a great response and support.
Yet due to this request, they were faced with intimidation and
threats from fanatical Maoist supporters.
This joint open letter, submitted to the 18th National Congress,
was written by over 20 senior intellectuals,
elderly historians from the City of Chengdu.
Making them an easy target for the Maoists.
Drafter of the open letter Tie Liu: “So you see, such hateful
words were used against us.
Through letters they say they want to come & kill our families.
They also say we are traitors.
All the while swearing and cursing, ten times, one hundred
times, everyday they verbally attack and threaten us.”
The elders told NTD how, on the night of September 1st,
from 9.00 to 1 o’clock Maoists repeatedly cursed them.
There were even threats to their lives.
On September 2, under intolerable intimidation,
The elders exposed the Maoists “threatening words” as well as their phone numbers.
the elders pointed out that,
if there is something contrarily to the facts in their open letter,
the Maoists can write articles refuting as such.
Why would they resort to threatening abuse? Using
“Cultural Revolution" bloody violence type language?
The elders stressed they will not back down
nor change their views.
Mao Zedong was the culprit of the “Cultural Revolution",
the culprit to the horrific catastrophe and should be
liquidated from the history of China and its people.
Historical elder Luo Kaiwen: ‘‘ Since I signed it, I should
adhere to it. I am not afraid how the Maoists threatened us.
I have prepared for the worst – death if needs be.
If I am to die at their hand, the world will see it all.
They can kill me; kill my family;
kill the people across the country, but they can’t change the
truth, the truth on our side.’‘
The Elders have enumerated the evils of Mao Zedong
launching the “Cultural Revolution" with the facts.
The Elders pointed out, this so-called “Great Proletarian
Cultural Revolution" destroyed the 5,000-years of Traditional Chinese Culture.
Mao wanted to shirk responsibility, the guilt of 3 years of
famine when 1000’s of people starved to death,
maintains his absolute power over the nation of China.
During the Cultural Revolution, Mao Zedong instigated
the vandalism of the Red Guards,
confiscation of goods, engaging in resorting to violence,
and blood and mayhem across china.
From June 1966 to November 1974, 120 Chinese leaders and
more than twelve thousand elites were persecuted to death, most of them driven to suicide.
During the Cultural Revolution, 100 million were denounced.
All evidence shows, the historical heritage & traditional legacy
of ancient China, were destroyed during the Cultural Revolution.
With 6843 monuments in Beijing in 1958,
4922 were brought down to the ground.
This is the heinous history of the Cultural Revolution!
Tie Liu told NTD, the Cultural Revolution ended decades ago,
yet Mao Zedong’s ghost still lingers.
leading to unsolved social disorder across the land of China.
He also believes Bo Xilai wants to engage in a Cultural
Revolution style coup to usurp power under the banner of Mao Zedong.
CCP leadership should seize this opportunity of Bo Xilai’s
event to purge the crimes of Mao Zedong,
and to once and for all remove this historical burden.
Tie Liu: “So far CCP would not dare say Mao Zedong
is culprit of the Cultural Revolution.
Nor would they say he is the culprit of the catastrophe.
The Communist leaders have not liquidated Mao’s crimes
against humanity.
Which today is responsible for China’s volatile situation.
Anyone who still holds the banner of Mao Zedong,
will not dare say anything in opposition.”
Tie liu stresses, the fundamental problems
the Chinese community face today are,
if the people completely liquidate Mao’s crimes,
are no longer supportive of him,
with Chinese both home & abroad, really need to
work hard to achieve the success of this liquidation.
Only when this issue is resolved, will the Chinese people
have a chance to achieve freedom and democracy.
