Internet Blocks News on Bo Xilai, Gu Kailai,
Jiang Zemin and Zhou Yongkang
After the Wang Lijun incident, words including “Wang Lijun,
Bo Xilai, and Zhou Yongkang,” as well as related news are censored sometimes, but also released at other times.
From this phenomenon, we can tell the Chinese Communist
Party’s (CCP) infighting has intensified.
Zhou Yongkang and Hu Jintao-Wen Jiabao factions’
infighting on the internet is indicated from Baidu and Weibo search engines’ censorship situation.
Therefore, we can use it to forecast the CCP’s internal
political situation.
Recently, netizens said internet blockades have intensified,
and it is difficult to visit overseas websites.
Sina, Tencent, Sohu’s microblogs have blocked the words
“Wang Lijun, Bo Xilai, Gu Kailai, Neil Heywood, Zhou Yongkang and Jiang Zemin.”
Since Baidu unblocked sensitive words, and exposed Zhou’s
Political and Legislative Committee’s corruption, this situation has changed.
Netizens guessed that before a great event happens,
it will follow an intensified internet blockage.
Netizens ask “will there be something happening soon?”
Japanese news circulated by netizens, revealing
Bo’s huge property, is also deleted.
Since Bo’s downfall, Bo and Gu Kailai’s families’ huge
property issue causing public’s speculation.
Recently, Hong Kong’s media reported the headline that
central officials are investigating Bo’s affairs in Hong Kong.
On April 21, the Japanese newspaper Asahi Shimbun’s
front page quoted the CCP internal document.
It said that Bo and his wife transferred US$6 billion overseas.
As the amount is huge, and more than the previously reported
US$1.2 billion, it provoked controversy in mainland China.
However, the news and comments circulated by Sina’s
microblog were removed two days ago.
Obama Told Alleged Murder of Neil Heywood
Before UK Government
British businessman Neil Heywood’s death became
the UK and US media’s headline news.
On April 23, the BBC quoted the UK’s Daily Mail, saying
that Heywood may have been murdered.
U.S President Obama knew before the UK Foreign Secretary
William Hague.
The Daily Mail reported that Obama was briefed about the
41-year-old’s suspected poisoning within hours
of Wang Lijun fleeing to the U.S. consulate,
telling officials he was murdered.
Officials said the decision to inform the President so soon
after the death of a British citizen was “almost unprecedented”.
