Hello everyone. Welcome to today’s China’s Forbidden News.
First, let’s go to the story of several outspoken intellectuals’
before the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) Two Meetings.
On March 1, netizens launched a signature petition campaign
on Twitter.
It urged National Congress and the Political Consultation
Committee to visit blind lawyer Chen Guangcheng,
to investigate Chen and his family, whom have been
under house arrest in Shandong by the CCP.
In addition, they asked for the investigation results
to be publicized.
Netizens point out that restriction on Chen and his
family’s freedom has no legal basis.
Meanwhile, 44 netizens had gone to Shandong to visit Chen.
However, sources said that once they exited the highway,
three armed vehicles and 20 police cars surrounded them.
Tibetan writer Woeser had her freedom restricted.
Recently, she was awarded with the Holland 2011
Prince Claus Awards.
On March 1, Woeser wrote on her microblog, saying that
she was invited for a “talk” by National Security personnel.
They didn’t allow her to attend the award ceremony
at the Holland Embassy.
In addition, they asked her to stay at home for 3 months.
Another story is about scholar Du Guang, and the CCP
restrictions on his freedom of publication.
His new book “Getting Back to Democracy,” was planned
to be published by Hong Kong New Century Press.
However, sources said that Central Party School urgently
ordered publisher to stop.
The books haven’t been delivery on that day to
Hong Kong bookstores.
Du Guang has published articles in the past, exposing the
CCP’s evil nature.
Another wide spread article is written by scholar lawyer,
Zhang Zanning.
This article is entitled “Dismissal of Political and Judiciary
Committee (PJC) Case.”
Zhang wrote that setting up PJC means there is no separation
of Party and Politics, it is the party replacing the politics.
It indicates the typical lower ability of one party
dominating a country.
This is the biggest case of breaking the law in China.
Without removal of the PJC, how can we talk about
China’s lawful society?
By what reason do they claim that China
is a country ruled by law?
