Confucius Peace Prize Awarded to Putin after the Authority Called it off.

The Confucius Peace Prize was ordered to stop by
the Chinese Ministry of Culture.
However, the second Confucius Peace Prize was recently
awarded to the Russian Prime Minister, Vladimir Putin.
Domestic and overseas scholars point out that
the Confucius Peace Prize were communist party tactics to ‘destabilize’ the Nobel Peace Prize,
similar to the Confucius Institute, which is communist party
culture coated with the Confucius image
to display the so-called political soft power for
a political united front in the international arena.

On 13th November, the organizers of the second Confucius Peace Prize announced that
Putin was awarded the “Confucius Peace Prize in 2011″
as voted by 16 judges,
including Peking University professor Kung Qingdong
also known as the ‘Fifty Cent scholars’.

Putin won this award on the grounds of his opposition to
NATO air strikes and the man-slaughtering of Gaddafi’s regime in Libya.
Award organizers said on the 15th that a ceremony
will be held as scheduled on 9th December, despite the government ordering them against this.

Well-known historian, Princeton University Professor Yu
Ying-shih pointed out that this is simply a farce.

Yu Ying-shih: “the so-called Confucius Peace Prize itself
is simply a big joke and does not have any value.
I do not believe that Russia’s Prime Minister Vladimir Putin
would be interested in this matter, I do not know if he accepted it.
All in all I think this is really ridiculous. It shows the
Communist Party’s propaganda is completely out of touch with the times. “

“Voice of America" remarked that the Chinese media have a
‘weird Putin complex.’
Xinhua Net reported on 15th Nov. that a poor farmer in Hefei county of Anhui prov. named Luo Yuanping who looks exactly like Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin.
He suddenly became the centre of attention and was called
“Brother Putin."

Russian official media has changed their previously closed
and rigid attitude during the reign of the former Soviet Union and reported the news with enthusiasm.
Voice of Russia also allotted a piece on Putin and
Luo Yuanping as aparallel collage.

Wall Street Journal indicated that the CCP likes the fact that
Putin joined Beijing to oppose the western countries in the UN Security Council.
Professor Yu Yingshi, a native of Anhui Province,
said it is a joke to say that Putin is for peace.

Hong Kong “Trends" magazine editor Zhang Weiguo said,
during the administration of Vladimir Putin, Russia’s journalists were slaughtered;
human rights went backward, he also commanded
the Chechen war, launched the war in Georgia, and so on.

Zhang Weiguo: “Now he is turning the clock back in the
Russian democratic political process by joining the presidential election.
He is such a person that runs against the world’s
democratic political development and the trend of civilization.
Now he was awarded the Confucius Peace Prize,
it’s either the wrong person was elected,
or the Confucius Peace Prize itself is wrapped in
the cloak of Confucius."

After Liu Xiaobo won the Nobel Peace Prize last year,
the Chinese Folk Art Association under the Chinese Ministry of Culture
announced the establishment of the Confucius Peace Prize.

The first winner, former vice president of Taiwan Lien Chan
was not aware of it and did not accept the award.

Because of opaque judging and selection, lack of financial regulation and other reasons,
the original team parted and thus two awards,
the “Confucius Peace Prize" and “Confucius World Peace Award" exist at the same time.
However, the Ministry of Culture called off both to
civil society organizers in September and October.

Qiao Damo, one of the candidates of the first “Confucius
Peace Prize" registered and
established the “China International Centre for Peace Studies"
in Hong Kong in October this year.
This center became the organizer of the “second Confucius
Peace Prize."

Zhang Weiguo: “So, it itself is a farce, and now this farce
was not entirely supported by the CCP’s authority.
They confront the Nobel Peace Prize with the Confucius Peace
Prize. It is against universal values.
Therefore, it started with a purpose not to head for real peace,
but is a united front in the international arena used as a political tool. “

The CCP also set up Confucius Institutes all around the world.

According to a Canadian Security Intelligence Service report,
the Confucius Institute is the CCP’s platform to export ideology and Chinese policy.
They serve as cultural infiltration tools and
brainwashing institutions, and conduct espionage to steal information in Canada.

Yu Ying-shih: “Therefore, the Communist Party has never had
real respect for Confucius. Marxism is now bankrupt, and has no theoretical basis.
So after so many searches, some people thought of
exploiting Confucianism, exploiting tradition, because this is a key nationalist sentiment.
However, whether or not it recognizes Confucius, and
its relation to despotism are also problematic."

Currently, within the Communist Party there are three separate
ideas and melee between Mao Zedong’s old communist path,
the old tradition of Confucius and Western democracy.

Zhang Weiguo analyzed, the “Confucius Peace Prize" reflects
the deep level of CCP sharp debate over universal values.
It also reflects the CCP’s leadership fights for
China’s political leadership.
