An investigation into last month’s fire at a building owned by China’s state-run television station CCTV is turning up some questionable financial deals.
主播：

Caijing Magazine reports that Xu Wei, who was in charge of the building’s construction, received almost $12,000 in commissions for the illegal fireworks show that started the fire.
《财经网》杂志报导，负责大楼建造的徐威，从造成大火的违法烟火秀中收取将近一万两千美元的回扣。

The money used for the fireworks display—and several other CCTV projects—was also funneled through a company owned by five of Xu’s close friends.

Xu was arrested shortly after the fire. State media reported that he had ordered the fireworks display.

But the investigation showed that the order came through official channels—not from Xu.

The investigation also showed that fire inspectors had cited safety problems at the building site before the fire.
