【新唐人2019年02月09日訊】為了提高紐約市部分學校的師資力量和教學質量，紐約市的50所學校，將成為首批加入布朗士計劃的學校，優先獲得所需的教學資源。
布朗士計劃是指在未來3年內，為紐約180所師資力量匱乏的學校，提供所需教學資源。
紐約市長白思豪（Bill de Blasio）和教育局長卡蘭薩（Richard Carranza），週五宣布第一批加入布朗士計劃(Bronx Plan)的50所學校。
紐約市長 白思豪：「我們計劃是要達到一百八十所學校。這將對紐約市學校系統產生根本影響，這意味著每十所學校就有一所加入這個計劃。這五十所學校是前鋒。」
納入這個計劃的學校，將獲得量身打造的輔助計劃，包括彌補學校師資力量的不足，修繕學校的基礎設施，購置新的教學材料，為不同教育項目提供資金，以及根據需要增加多語種教學和翻譯服務等。
這些學校還可優先獲得「平等與優秀計劃」（Equity & Excellence initiatives）中的撥款，例如為所有學生提供計算機、代數或大學預備（Advanced Placement）課程。
這首批50所加入計劃的學校，遍佈紐約市的布朗士區、布魯克林區和皇后區。
