【新唐人北京時間2018年07月19日訊】週三（7月18日），川普再就「雙普會」發表一系列評論，指出他的政治對手們寧願看到美俄開戰也不願看到兩國改善關係，並診斷懷恨者患了「川普精神錯亂綜合症」（Trump Derangement Syndrome）。
週三，川普連發推文，批駁政治對手們攻擊「雙普會」成果是病態表現。
「有些人討厭我與俄羅斯總統普京相處得很好這一事實。他們寧願打仗也不願看到這一點。這叫『川普精神錯亂綜合症』！」

川普和普京週一在芬蘭首都赫爾辛基會晤並舉行了聯合新聞發佈會，但美國民主黨及左媒以川普沒有譴責俄羅斯干擾2016年美國大選為藉口，抨擊川普更相信普京而不是美國情報機構、其表現「叛國」，並把俄羅斯干擾美國大選稱之為「戰爭行為」。
川普在週三凌晨的一篇推文中指出；
「很多高端情報人士都喜歡我在赫爾辛基舉行的新聞發佈會。我和普京在稍早的會議上討論了很多重要議題。我們相處得很好，這真困擾了許多想看拳擊比賽的仇敵。馬上就有重大成果！」
So many people at the higher ends of intelligence loved my press conference performance in Helsinki. Putin and I discussed many important subjects at our earlier meeting. We got along well which truly bothered many haters who wanted to see a boxing match. Big results will come!

在另外兩篇接續的推文中，川普還表示，雖然他在北約峰會上也取得了成功，但相比之下，與普京的會晤收穫更大。
「雖然在布魯塞爾舉行的北約會議是公認的勝利，成員國以更快的速度提高了數十億美元的軍費，但從長遠來看，與俄羅斯的會談或許證實取得了更大成功。會議將產生許多積極的情況……」
While the NATO meeting in Brussels was an acknowledged triumph, with billions of dollars more being put up by member countries at a faster pace, the meeting with Russia may prove to be, in the long run, an even greater success. Many positive things will come out of that meeting..

「……俄羅斯同意幫助解決朝鮮問題，朝鮮與我們關係很好，而且這個過程正在前進。不存在匆忙，制裁保持不變！過程結束時，朝鮮將收穫巨大利益和令人興奮的未來！」
