【新唐人2014年10月31日訊】香港自由黨黨魁田北俊，由於發表希望香港行政長官梁振英考慮下臺的言論，這個星期三被中共撤銷全國政協委員資格。當天田北俊宣佈辭去自由黨黨魁，並表示卸下兩個包袱後，能對香港做出更多貢獻。他還強調不會撤回「倒梁」的言論。
週三下午，剛被中共政協撤銷「全國政協委員」職務的田北俊，在香港立法會會見媒體，表示辭去自由黨黨魁職務。
香港自由黨領導人田北俊：「我會辭去自由黨黨魁。之後我很樂意作為立法會成員回答所有問題。作為自由黨成員，但不再是領導人。我覺得以這種方式，我可以對香港做出更多貢獻。」
田北俊被政協撤職，是由於他在上週五發表過建議行政長官梁振英辭職的言論，成為在佔中運動發生後，首位「倒梁」的「建制派」人士。
田北俊說，發表建議梁振英辭職的言論時，沒有留意政協委員身份，只記得自己是香港立法會議員和自由黨黨魁，因此他接受中共政協常委的決定。但他對媒體表示，沒有政協委員身份會少點包袱，辭去黨魁頭銜，更能暢所欲言，並強調不會收回言論。
香港自由黨黨魁田北俊：「立法會仍在拉布，還是在叫人點人數，金鐘仍然有很多人集會，情況沒有改變，我覺得我當時的理據是充足才說出那番話，今日既然沒有改變，我當然不會收回。」
從田北俊發表「倒梁」言論，到被撤職，只有四天，評論認為，北京嚴格管控親中的「建制派」的言論。
香港立法會議員單仲偕：「現在的形勢，北京也非常了解，梁振英政府已經是施政舉步維艱。面對強有力的反對派的壓力，也不允許在建制派中，有甚麼人有動搖的情況。所以就先發制人，不允許有任何『倒梁』聲音。所以要處理田北俊。」
香港《開放》雜誌總編輯金鐘：「當然這就是『殺雞給猴看』，給建制派的人一個警告，你們如果不聽話的話，那就要遭到處罰。」
田北俊出身富商世家，目前經營製衣業，他所在的自由黨，成員大多是商人出身，因此外界也聯想到，《新華社》曾在25號發表英文的署名文章，點名批評李嘉誠、李兆基、郭鶴年和吳光正四位香港超級富豪，沒有明確表態反對佔中。
單仲偕：「所以田北俊這個事件，我估計也是對香港的建制派，或者是香港的富豪，有一個警醒的作用。要求他們要堅決堅定的支持梁振英，連沉默的機會也不給他們了。」
「倒梁」會被撤職，「沉默」也被點名批評，但政協常委陳永棋仍然引述中共全國政協主席俞正聲的話，聲稱這不影響政協委員批評行政長官和特區政府，只不過是要所謂「建設性」的。
政協常委陳永棋：「如果有反對的聲音，那些反對的聲音不應把它公開，因為公開那些反對的聲音，那就等於不支持。如果有不同的聲音，可以直接向中央反映。」
不公開反對，而是私下溝通，北京是否就有協商餘地呢？立法會議員單仲偕指出，北京的港澳政策一貫強硬，當局只會採取更強硬手段。
單仲偕：「我估計到月底以後，12月中旬的時候，聖誕節前期，北京會採取一個更強硬的態度。會不會到那個時候，已經經過三個月的時候了，香港政府就要用最強硬的方式去清理場地。」
田北俊被政協撤職也引發「泛民派」議員的批評。民主黨議員黃碧雲認為，田北俊是按政協章程，發揮所謂的「反映民意、民主監督及議政」的職能，被撤銷資格是不合理。
民主黨創黨主席李柱銘則批評，俞正聲所謂「政協不應該公開說反對聲音」，等於向全香港市民承認，政協的公開發言不是「真心話」，以後政協將欠缺公信力。

James Tien Resigns As Party Leader Without Retracting His Remarks Opposing Leung Chun-ying
On Wednesday, Hong Kong Liberal Party leader
Mr. James Tien Pei-Chun’s membership of the Chinese
People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC)
was revoked by the CCP due to his speech urging Hong Kong
Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying to consider resignation.
Then he announced his resignation as Liberal Party leader
that day.
He said that after these two burdens have been removed,
he can contribute more to Hong Kong.
He also stressed that he would not withdraw
his remarks opposing Leung Chun-ying.
On Wednesday afternoon, just after his CPPCC national
membership had been revoked, Mr. James Tien met
with the media in Hong Kong’s Legislative Council,
and announced that he resigned the Liberal Party leader.
James Tien: “I will tender my resignation
as the Party Leader of the Liberal Party.
After which, I am more than happy to answer
all your questions as a legislator,
as a member of the Liberal Party,
but no longer as Party Leader.
This makes me feel that I can contribute
more to Hong Kong."
The dismissal of James’ CPPCC membership resulted from
his advising Hong Kong Executive Officer Leung Chun-ying
to resign last Friday.
He became the first legislative council member
of the Pro-Establishment Camp to oppose Leung Chun-ying
since Occupy Central Movement began.
Mr. James Tien said that when he published his speech
advising Leung Chun-ying to resign, he did not pay attention
to his CPPCC membership, and simply remembered his
identity as a member of Hong Kong Legislative Council
and the Liberal Party leader.
He accepted the decision of the CCP Standing Committee
of the CPPCC.
But he told the media that not identifying as a CPPCC
member would burden him less, resigning as party leader
would allow him to more freely give speeches,
and emphasized that he would not withdraw the remarks.
James Tien: “Legislative Council is still in filibuster
and still counting the number of legislative members,
and there are still a lot of people rallying in Admiralty.
Now the situation has not changed.
I think the speech was sufficiently justified.
Since today’s situation has not changed,
I certainly would not take back my words."
It was only four days between the time of James Tien’s
“opposing Leung"remarks to the time his CPCCC membership
was revoked.
Commenters say that Beijing authorities strictly
regulate the Pro-Beijing Camp’s remarks.
Hong Kong Legislative Council member Sin Chung-kai:
“Now Beijing has a very good understanding
of the situation, and the Leung Chun-ying administration
is carrying out policy with many difficulties and blockage.
Facing strong pressure from the opposition,
it does not allow legislative council members
of the Pro-Establishment Camp
to shake their political standpoint.
So they take pre-emptive action to kill all voices in opposion
to Leung Chun-ying and hence treat James Tien in this way."
Hong Kong’s “Open" magazine Chief-Editor Mr Zhong Jin:
“Of course this is ‘a warning to others’
and sends a warning to those legislative council members
of the “Pro-Establishment Camp.”
If you do not follow the Beijing authorities,
you will be punished."
James Tien was born into a wealthy family.
He currently operates garment factories.
Most members of his Liberal Party are businessmen.
The public has connected this incident with a published
and signed article written in English on Oct. 25th
by Xinhua News Agency.
The article criticized four Hong Kong billionaires including
Li Ka-shing, Lee Shau Kee, Robert Kuok and Peter Woo
for not showing a clear stance against Occupy Central.
Sin Chung-kai: “So for James Tien’s incident,
I guess this is a vigilant signal being sent to the Hong Kong
Pro-Establishment Camp, or Hong Kong tycoons.
Beijing Authorities require them to resolutely support
Leung Chun-ying, there are no opportunities for silence."
Opposing Leung Chun-ying will be dismissed,
keeping silent is also criticized.
But the CPPCC Standing Committee Chen Yongqi
still quoted the words of the CPPCC Head Yu Zhensheng,
claiming it does not affect the CPPCC National Committee
members to criticize the Chief Executive and the SAR
government, but all of these should be “constructive."
CPPCC Standing Committee member Chen Yongqi:
“If there are dissenting voices, then those voices
should not be made the public because the voices
made public send non-supportive messages.
If there are differing voices, then they can be reported
directly to the Central Government."
If private communication rather than open opposition
is applied, then is there room for negotiation
with Beijing authorities?
Legislative Council member Sin Chung-kai said that Beijing’s
policies regarding Hong Kong and Macao
have always been tough, and Beijing is only
going to take tougher measures.
Sin Chung-kai:"I estimate that by the end of this month
and around mid-December, and during the pre-Christmas,
Beijing will take a tougher attitude.
By that time, the Occupy Central Movement will have lasted
for three months, and the Hong Kong government will
possibly use the toughest measures to clean up the site."
The revoking of James Tien’s CPPCC membership was also
criticized by Pan-democratic Legislative Council members.
The Democratic Party’s Legislative Council member
Wong Pik Wan thinks the dismissal of James Tien
is unreasonable because James Tien just executes his liability
as a CPPCC member in “reflecting public opinion, carrying out
democratic supervision and commenting on governmental
policies", which complies with the CPPCC charter.
Democratic Party founder chairman Mr. Martin Lee Chu-ming
criticized Yu Zhengsheng for saying, “the CPPCC members
shouldn’t openly express opposition voices."
This is admitting to all Hong Kong people that the CPPCC’s
public statements are not true words from members’ hearts,
and hence the CPPCC will lack public credibility in the future.
