【新唐人2014年10月18日訊】香港佔中未停 旺角再起衝突
香港學生和市民的爭普選抗議活動仍在繼續，10月17號，也就是香港行政長官梁振英，提出重啟與「學聯」對話的第二天，香港警方突然清理了旺角佔領區的路障和帳篷，並把示威者趕上了人行道。
晚間，數以百計的市民前往旺角彌敦道和亞皆老街的交界地區集會，聲援示威人士。
期間，有市民突破警方防線，與警方發生衝突，警方多次施放胡椒噴霧，現場混亂，有市民戴上眼罩和用雨傘抵擋，也有多人被警員制服後帶走。
隨後大批配備防暴裝備的警員趕往現場增援，驅散在場聚集的市民，包括用盾牌將集會人士推上行人路，一批警員還組成人鏈，讓車輛可在亞皆老街通行。
到深夜，現場仍有大批示威者和警方對峙。
「學聯」要求港府22日前對話
香港「學聯」當晚發表聲明，譴責梁振英一方面聲稱與學生對話，另一方面又下令清場，為對話加設障礙。
「學聯」要求下週三（也就是10月22號）前與港府對話，並希望港府不要再立場反覆。
新快報記者陳永洲被判刑
廣州《新快報》記者陳永洲，10月17號，被湖南省長沙市岳麓區法院判刑一年十個月，罪名是「損害商業信譽和非國家工作人員受賄」。
陳永州因為在他供職的廣州《新快報》上，發表揭露湖南上市公司「中聯重科」財務造假內幕的系列文章，2013年10月被湖南長沙警方跨省抓捕。
據香港《蘋果日報》披露，「中聯重科」董事長詹純新的父親詹順初，是湖南高級法院的前院長，他的岳父萬達，是湖南省委前第二書記﹔而「中聯重科」的副總裁孫昌軍，則是湖南省前省委書記楊正午的女婿。

Oct.17-The second day after Hong Kong’s Chief Executive
Leung Chun-ying proposed to restart dialogues
with the Hong Kong Federation of Students (HKFS),
police quickly cleared the roadblocks and tents in Mong Kok,
driving protesters to the sidewalks.
In the evening, hundreds of people went to the border area
of Nathan Road and Argyle Street to support the protesters.
People clashed with police, breaking through their line of
defense, as the police used pepper spray and made arrests.
The scene was chaotic—some protesters wore goggles
and used umbrellas to resist the police.
Later, a large number of riot police rushed to the scene
to disperse crowds, and they used shields to push people
onto the pavement, while police formed a human chain
to let cars pass through Argyle Street.
Clashes continued late into the night.
HKFS Requests Dialogue before Oct. 22
HKFS issued a statement condemning Leung Chun-ying,
saying that he claimed to be willing to hold a dialogue, yet
ordered police to clear the scene, adding obstacles for talks;
making many question the sincerity of the government.
HKFS are requesting a dialogue before Wednesday Oct. 22,
and hope the government will not change its stance for talks.
CCP Jails Reporter Chen Yongzhou for Defaming Zoomlion
Guangzhou newspaper Express reporter Chen Yongzhou
was sentenced to 22 months in Hunan Yuelu District Court
on Oct. 17, charged with “damaging business reputation
and bribing non-national staff".
Chen Yongzhou was arrested after publishing an insider’s
series exposing the financial fraud of the state-controlled
construction company Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science
and Technology Co Ltd.
Hong Kong’s Apple Daily revealed that Zhan Shunchu—father
of Zoomlion chairman, Zhan Chunxin—was former president
of Hunan Superior Court, and his father in law, Wan Da,
was the former Hunan Provincial second secretary.
And Zoomlion vice president, Sun Changjun is the son in law
of former Hunan Party secretary, Yang Zhengwu.
