四中全會前上百訪民聚集南站
中共四中全會下週一召開，最近中國大陸各地訪民紛紛進京，向中共當局討說法。大陸維權網站《六四天網》報導，10月17號下午，200多名來自大陸各地的訪民，聚集在北京南站大平臺救濟站門前，訴說在中共專制下遭受到的各種打壓、迫害。同時，在中紀委以及信訪辦門前，也聚集了上百人。
上海上千工人罷工堵路 被鎮壓
16號，上海高建服飾有限公司的上千工人罷工、堵路，抗議公司拖欠工資、欠繳養老保險，遭大批警察鎮壓，多人被毆打抓捕。上海高建服飾有限公司位於浦東新區祝橋鎮，是香港立基實業有限公司下設的一家分公司，為香港獨資企業，有員工1000餘名。
雲南麗江上千居民 縣政府靜坐
從13號起，雲南省麗江市永勝縣濤源鎮的上千名居民，前往縣政府靜坐。這些居民因為魯地拉電站而面臨搬遷，他們抗議當地政府貪污搬遷賠償款項。目前居民們已經在縣政府門前坐了四天四夜，但是當地政府至今沒有出面答復。
政府出爾反爾 村民維權被毆打
16號上午，浙江省奉化市岳林街道梁家墩村、王葉村，約300村民前往奉化市政府維權，遭數十警察毆打，多名村民被抓捕。三年前這兩個村莊拆遷，當地政府在合同上寫明，安置房的公攤面積贈送，但是三年後交房時，政府卻要求村民交錢買公攤面積，引起村民的不滿。9月30號村民們曾到奉化市政府維權，但是沒有結果。
Oct. 17 Rights Defending Update
Hundreds Gathered At Beijing Railway Station Before
the Fourth Plenary Session
The CCP’s 4th plenary session will take place next Monday.
Mainland petitioners from different places have come to
Beijing to seek explanations of their grievances.
According to mainland rights defending website 64tianwang,
in the afternoon of Oct 17, over 200 petitioners gathered
at Beijing South Railway Station, complaining of suppressions
and persecutions they’ve suffered under CCP dictatorship.
Meanwhile over 100 petitioners gathered in front of the
Central Commission of Discipline and Inspection
and Letters and Visits Office in Beijing.
Over 1000 Workers Suppressed as They Strike
and Block Road In Shanghai
Over 1000 Shanghai Gaojiang Garment workers, went on
strike and blocked the road, protesting against the company
for not paying wages and pensions.
Police cracked down on the protesters,
beating and arresting many.
The company is located at Zhuqiaozhen,
Pudong district of Shanghai.
It’s a branch company of Lap Kay Group Industrial Limited,
a Hong Kong-owned enterprise.
The company has over 1000 employees in total.
Over 1000 Gathered In Front of Yunnan Government Building
Over 1000 residents of Taoyuan County, Lijiang City,
Yunnan have been gathered in front of the county
government building since Oct. 13.
The residents were forced to move away
due to construction of a power station.
They’ve protested against the local government
for cheating over compensation payments for relocating.
The residents have sat in front of the county government
for four days and nights, but the government hasn’t
given any response over the issue.
Government Breaks Promise,
Villagers Beaten For Defending Rights
About 300 villagers from the rural area of Fenghua City,
Zhejiang Province, protested outside the city government
on the morning of Oct. 16.
Dozens of police beat up the villagers, and arrested several.
Two villages in the city were given house demolition orders
three years ago. Villagers signed contracts with the local
government that they would be given free houses in 3 years.
But 3 years later, the government demanded payment
for the houses, causing outrage among the villagers.
The villagers protested once at the city government on
Sept. 30, but got no response.
