香港民眾爭取民主選舉的「和平佔中」行動，已經持續九天，特首梁振英前一天威脅的武力清場沒有發生，各界的緊張情緒得以緩和。
10月6號晚間，「香港專上學生聯合會」代表與港府的三名官員，舉行了政改對話前的第2次籌備會議，雙方就「學聯」提出的三點原則達成共識，並同意在本週內以公開形式對話。
參加會議的香港政制及內地事務局副局長劉江華表示，這是不錯的進展。
「學聯」副秘書長岑敖暉說，不希望對話淪為閒談或諮詢，而要有成果，因此堅持在3點原則上有共識，才會對話。他同時表示，雙方最終可否全面達成共識，還要看政府的態度和誠意。
「學聯」重申，如果港府暴力清場，則會終止對話，並呼籲市民繼續堅守金鐘、銅鑼灣及旺角陣地，直到會面有實質成果，或者政府有實質讓步為止。
黨媒指佔中開倒車 學者批強盜邏輯
香港如火如荼的和平抗議活動，最近幾天遭到中共黨媒火力十足的攻擊，中共喉舌媒體《人民日報》一連六天發表文章，批評香港民眾爭取「真普選」的「佔中」行動，指責抗議活動侵犯了社會大眾的公共利益，是「破壞民主，在開民主倒車」。不過，中共黨媒的言論，沒有達到愚弄百姓的效果，反而引起大量的批評和質疑。
據《自由亞洲電臺》報導，原河北電臺編輯朱欣欣指出，《人民日報》只批評運動對社會造成的負面影響，卻不提造成「佔中」的根源，是中共人大的「假普選」，屬於強盜邏輯。
朱欣欣解釋說，就像一個人明明搶劫了別人，別人反抗打傷了他，他卻污衊別人對他進行人身傷害，而不說是他首先搶劫別人了。中共的說辭跟這個強盜的邏輯是一樣的。
大陸法律人聯署 要求撐香港
就在中共喉舌媒體開足馬力詆譭香港「佔中」行動的同時，大陸民間支持香港「佔中」的聲音卻日益高漲，除了全國各地接連不斷的舉牌聲援活動外，10月5號晚間，大陸數十名法律人又發起聯署行動。
這些法律人在聯署聲明中表示，他們充分理解、尊重並支持港人的抗爭訴求，譴責針對同胞的暴力行動，並要求中共當局釋放因聲援香港而被非法拘押的大陸公民。
聯署聲明還要求中共人大常委立即著手推進大陸各縣鄉首腦，和地市級以上人大代表的直接選舉，還政於民。

Hong Kong Government And Occupy Central Have Positive
Talks So Far This Week
It’s been a good day for Hong Kong’s Occupy Central
peaceful demonstrations for democratic election.
The Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying’s threat of forced
clear-up didn’t happen, which makes all tensions ease.
On the evening of Oct. 6, Hong Kong Federation of Students
(HKFS) representatives held the second preparatory meeting
before the political reform dialogue with Government officials.
The two sides reached agreement on the three principles put
forward by HKFS.
They agree to have a dialogue within the week in public.
Government official, Lau Kong-wah, Deputy Secretary for
Constitutional and Mainland Affairs Bureau said this is good.
HKFS deputy secretary general Cen Aohui doesn’t want the
dialogue to be a conversation or advice, but wants a result.
So the dialogue will happen only when they have consensus
on the three principles.
He also said that the government’s attitude and sincerity
decides if the two sides will finally reach a consensus.
HKFS reiterates that the dialogue will be terminated if the
government clears the protestors away violently.
They also urged people to defend the Admiralty, Causeway
Bay and Mong Kok positions until the actual result or the
actual concessions from the government.
Scholar’s Criticism of The Chinese Communist Party Media’s
Pirate Logic Towards Occupy Central
Recently, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) mouthpiece
media offensively criticized the Hong Kong peaceful protest.
CCP media People’s Daily wrote articles for six consecutive
days criticizing genuine universal suffrage at Occupy Central.
They accused the protest activities of violating public interests
and reversed democracy by destroying democracy.
However, the CCP media statements triggered a backlash of
criticism and didn’t fool the people.
According to Radio Free Asia, former Hebei radio editor
Zhu Xinxin pointed out that People’s Daily gangster logic
talked about the negative impact of Occupy Central, with no
mention of the National People’s Congress fake election.
Zhu Xinxin said, a robber was angry with the robbed people
assaulting him without mentioning he robbed them first.
The CCP’s attitude has the same logic as such gangster logic.
Mainland Law People Jointly Signed to Support Hong Kong
Occupy Central support from mainland people is increasing
since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) mouthpiece media
slandered the protest so quickly.
As well as mainland placards and solidarity activities, on Oct.
5, ten Chinese legal people started a joint signature campaign.
These law people said they fully understand, respect and
support the Hong Kong peoples’ struggle.
They condemn violence against each other.
They asked the Chinese authorities to release mainland people
who were illegally detained for supporting Hong Kong.
The statement also asks the CCP Standing Committee to
proceed immediately to restore the power to the people by
promoting the deputies’ direct elections in mainland villages,
counties, cities and across the country.
