最近一個月來，中共當局在大陸各地大量抓捕人權律師、媒體人、異見人士和維權者，規模超過近10年來歷次打壓的程度。據《維權網》不完全統計，從4月底到5月31號，被各地警方刑事拘留的維權人士和異議人士就高達70多人。
《法國國際廣播電臺》報導，大陸維權律師滕彪認為，中共的打壓已由過往的「維穩」模式轉為掃蕩或清洗模式，拘捕行動不會在「六四」後停下來，被刑拘者，也可能只有少數會被釋放。
大陸一些獨立記者也認同這個觀點，認為現在這種濫捕的狀況，會維持三到五年不等。
滕彪對《法廣》表示，中共5月的大舉拘捕行動，不只與臨近「六四」紀念日有關，可能是改變鎮壓模式後的一個抓捕高峰。
「六四」25週年 人權領袖華府集會
5月31號，「全美中國學生學者自治聯合會」在美國華盛頓中共駐美使館外，舉行紀念「六四」25週年集會，來自美國各地和中國大陸、日本等地的人權領袖，和支持中國民主自由的人士，大約上百人參與了紀念會。流亡美國的中國異見人士魏京生特別到場，為以「坦克人」作原型的雕塑，主持揭幕儀式並致辭。
會議通過互聯網同步向全球尤其是中國大陸做了實況傳送，這是「全美學自聯」連續第25年主辦「六四」紀念會。
雲貴警察槍殺無辜 民眾抬屍遊行
中共以所謂「反恐」的名義，增加街頭持槍巡邏的警察後，大陸各地接連發生警察隨意開槍，殺死民眾事件，5月30號一天，雲南和貴州就有兩人死於警察槍下。31號，兩地的死者家屬和民眾，分別圍堵縣政府和遊行抗議。
據美國《大紀元》新聞網報導，5月30號貴州省黔東南州三穗縣農民樂德宏，因夫妻吵架被警察開槍殺死，並搶走屍體。31號早晨，死者親屬及鄉親數十人，手舉橫幅遊行抗議，近2000人在現場圍觀，當局調派了周邊幾個縣的數百警察、防暴警察攔截、戒備。
同一天，雲南省曲靖市羅平縣村民陳學禮，也因勸架，被醉酒警察連開兩槍打死。31號，村民抬屍遊行，遭大批警察攔截，屍體被搶。

Chinese Communist Party Changed It’s Suppression Model
In May, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) arrested a large
number of human rights lawyers, media people, dissidents and
human rights defenders.
The suppression is on a scale that exceeds that of
the past 10 years.
According to some figures compiled by Human Rights
Defenders there have been about 70 human rights activists
and dissidents detained from the end of April to May 31.
RFI reported that mainland human rights lawyer Teng Biao
believes that the CCP crackdown has changed to clean-up
mode from the recent stability maintenance mode, which
won’t stop even after June 4th.
Only a few of those detained activists and dissidents will
be released, he thinks.
Some independent mainland reporters agree and believe this
phase will last from three to five years.
Teng Biao told RFI that the large number of arrests in May is
not just because the June 4 memorial is approaching but a peak
arrest phase since the suppression mode changed.
Human Rights Leaders Rally in Washington For The 25th
Anniversary of June 4
On May 31, a hundred people including human rights leaders
from the U.S., China, Japan etc., those who support Chinese
democracy and freedom participated in the rally in memory
of the 25th anniversary of June 4.
This was hosted by the Independent Federation of Chinese
Students and Scholars (IFCSS) outside the China Embassy
in Washington.
Chinese dissident Wei Jingsheng who was exiled to the U.S.
conducted the unveiling ceremony.
The conference is the memorial to 25 consecutive years of
June 4 commemoration hosted by IFCSS and synchronized
across the world over the Internet.
People Marched With Corpse of Victim Killed
by Yunnan and Guizhou Police
The Chinese Communist Party increased armed patrol police
on the street for anti-terrorism to kill people at will.
On May 30, police in Yunnan and Guizhou killed two people.
On May 31, the families of the two dead went to
the county government to protest.
According to the Epoch Times news, on May 30 Guizhou
Sansui County Farmer, Le Dehong was killed by police over
domestic violence and his body was removed.
On May 31, dozens of his relatives and villagers protested
with banners and nearly 2,000 onlookers.
The authorities deployed hundreds of police and riot police
from surrounding counties to intercept and be on the alert.
On the same day, a drunken police officer killed Yunnan
Qujing city Chen Xueli with two shots for mediating.
The villagers carried the corpse on the march and were
blocked by a large number of police who took the body.
