Communist China Sent 1,500 Spies to Taiwan in 1949.
In 1949, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) sent 1,500 spies
to Taiwan.
1,100 were arrested and executed, which was only just
reported recently by CCP official media.
Commentators criticize how CCP spies are typically sent to
their deaths.
Should they be caught, the CCP will neither recognize them
nor try to effect any rescues.
In fact, the CCP will conduct the murder.
On May 26 2014, the CCP media disclosed:
In 1949, more than 1,500 secret agents disguised as business
men, refugees, street sellers and defeated soldiers, boarded for
Taiwan along with millions of Kuomintang army soldiers.
They were ready to coordinate the invasion of the
CCP red army in Taiwan.
Included was Wu Shi, the then Taiwan deputy chief of the
Minister of Defense.
Over 1,100 of the 1,500 spies were executed, only few
managed to escape and returned to China.
The blackout of the CCP has left many descendants unaware
of their fathers’ deaths in Taiwan, or allowed them to find
their remains.
Wu Shi’s social activities in Taiwan ‘involving state secrets’
left his children facing brutal persecution during the Cultural
Revolution for ‘unclear family issues’ after his death.
Late last year, the CCP engraved the names of 846 spies who
died in Taiwan on a memorial wall in Xishan, Beijing.
One spy Hou Wenli’s descendants were unhappy that Hou
was not being recognized for his sacrifice.
China Affairs magazine editor-in-chief Chris Wu commented
that the CCP spies can only hope for the best once caught,
since the CCP would not care.
Chris Wu: “In fact, million of Chinese POW from the Korean
War were treated as traitors.
Did the CCP recognize them? It would only consider
that they deserved it."
Late last year, Canadian police arrested Qing Quentin Huang,
a 53-year-old Canadian citizen.
Qing was alleged to have tried to pass on classified material
to the CCP about Canada’s national shipbuilding program.
The CCP Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei rejected the
allegations,"The relevant reports about a Canadian man
suspected of providing information to the Chinese
government are completely baseless."
Chris Wu points out that the CCP would never recognize or
rescue the spies, but even murder the ones that were caught.
Chris Wu: “That is what the CCP has always been doing.
In contrary, the United States will recognize and try to
rescue or make an exchange.
The U.S. will protect its agents but the
CCP will only kill theirs."
Chris Wu mentions that intelligence agencies exist in every
country.
Rescuing caught agents is typical in many countries.
However the ruthless treatment by the CCP towards its own
agents is rare in the international arena.
Take the 1980’s Larry Wu-tai Chin’s case as an example.
He worked for CIA for more than 30 years. The FBI arrested
him for selling classified documents to the CCP.
His sudden death in prison had his wife suspect that Beijing
agents had murdered Chin as stated in the book she wrote in
1999.
Late last year, activist Xu Shuiliang exposed in depth in his
blog that more than a million CCP agents were sent
overseas and millions of them stayed in mainland China.
Many overseas opposition activists are in fact special agents
working for the CCP.
Xu Shuiliang, activist: “Those million of CCP spies are
professional.
The West pays no attention to these people and can do almost
nothing about it."
Xu ShuiLiang wrote that almost every Chinese media in the
international community, including Taiwan as well as the
Chinese media of foreign governments is tightly controlled
by the CCP.
The CCP also controls the overseas Chinese communities.
In 2001, the Jamestown Foundation revealed that the CCP
was directly controlling media and TV stations in the U.S.
through funds from Overseas Chinese Affairs Offices and
the Chinese Consulates.
Many media formerly known as anti-Communist in America
and Europe have been acquired or infiltrated by the CCP
for monetary interests.
