中共和越南在南中國海的爭端繼續升溫，據越南媒體報導，5月12號，雙方船隻在中方架設的鑽油臺爭議水域附近，互射水炮。
報導說，越方船隻舉起橫幅要求中方撤走鑽油臺，中方船隻發炮，越方加以還擊。
杭州警方秋後算賬 商舖罷市抗議
浙江杭州市餘杭區居民抗議政府興建垃圾焚燒廠，日前遭警方暴力清場。杭州警方12號公布，已經刑事拘留53人，有11人主動向警方投案。另外，還拘留7名所謂網上造謠者。據網友上傳的消息，當地還在瘋狂抓捕抗議者。
香港《蘋果日報》報導，5月12號，餘杭區街面異常冷清，當局從寧波調派大批武警和特警前來維持治安，多輛裝甲車在大街上巡邏，街道上只有零星的民眾行走，也有示威者被抬走。
報導說，當天整個餘杭的商家全部罷市，抗議當局強權暴行。
汶川地震遇難學生家長祭奠受阻
5月12號是造成七萬人遇難的四川汶川地震六週年紀念日，中共當局沒有舉行紀念活動，大陸媒體的紀念報導，也完全不提地震中造成死亡的人禍因素。一些當年在地震中失去孩子的家長，則在這一天，紛紛舉行請願活動。
據《自由亞洲電臺》報導，當天，都江堰市聚源中學的近兩百名遇難學生家屬，前往學校遺址祭奠自己的孩子，卻遭到警方阻撓。
綿竹市的一百多位遇難學生家長則前往市政府請願，要求落實校方責任險、和當年中共總理溫家寶對災民的承諾。
另外，都江堰的四十多名地震災民當天前往市政府請願，也被警方攔截。

Chinese and Vietnamese Ships Fired Water Cannons at
Each Other in Disputed Waters
Tensions between the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and
Vietnam keep increasing in South China Sea waters.
According to Vietnamese media, vessels on both states fired
water cannons at each other on May 12, which happened at
the disputed area where the CCP planned to build an oilrig.
The report said, Vietnamese vessels had raised slogans which
demanded CCP ships withdraw its oilrig.

and Vietnamese ships fought back.
Chinese Communist Party Suppressing Yuhang Protesters
Residents of Yuhang District in Hangzhou who protested
against the construction plan of a waste plant, are under
violent suppression by the CCP.
On May 12, Hangzhou’s public security department put 53
people in criminal detention and another 11 surrendered
themselves to the police.
Another 7 were detained for “spreading online rumors”.
Local netizens said the police are still arresting protesters.
According to Hong Kong’s Apple Daily, the whole Yu Hang
district was desolate on May 12.
The CCP dispatched a large group of armed police and special
police from Ningbo for “security maintenance”.
Panzers were seen patrolling and there were very few people
on the street. Some protesters were forcibly carried away.
The report said all businesses in Yuhang were stopped that
day as a protest against the CCP’s violent suppression.
Chinese Communist Party Blocked Mourning Activities of
Student Victims’ Parents in Wenchuan Earthquake
May 12 is the 6th anniversary of Wenchuan Earthquake which
killed over 70,000 people.
The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) made no commemoration
on the day.
Even in Chinese media reports, not a single word about the
human disaster factor from the earthquake is mentioned.
On the other hand, parents who lost their children 6 years
ago petitioned on the anniversary day.
Radio Free Asia reported that about 200 family members of
student victims in Juyuan Middle School of Dujiangyan City
visited the school site to mourn their children on May 12.
However, their activities were interfered with by local police.
In Mianzhu City, 100 parents of student victims petitioned
the municipal government, demanding the school’s liability
insurances and fulfillment of other promises by the CCP’s
former premier Wen Jiabao.
Over 40 earthquake victims also petitioned to Dujiangyan’s
municipal government that day, but were blocked by police.
