【新唐人2014年04月11日訊】北京「中央民族大學」副教授伊力哈木•土赫提，今年１月15號被警察帶走，近3個月來，家人一直沒有辦法見到他。4月8號，他的女兒菊爾•伊力哈木在美國華盛頓，出席了美國國會中國問題委員會的聽證會。會上，她表示，父親從來沒有主張分裂國家，而在北京的家人被控制。
現年19歲的菊爾•土赫提（JewherIlham），在美國國會聽證會上作證說，中共當局指控她父親煽動分裂和仇恨、支持恐怖主義，並沒有根據。而且她父親反對暴力。
現在伊力哈木被關押在新疆烏魯木齊市公安廳看守所，沒有人能探視他。
菊爾說，她在北京的家人也受到集體懲罰，當局還派出8名警察24小時監控她的家人。
伊力哈木的一位表姊，10號接受《新唐人》採訪，她說，現在想進去伊力哈木家探望他的家人，都會受到盤查。而伊力哈木在新疆的母親，因為擔心兒子，天天哭，已住過兩次院。
伊力哈木表姊﹕「不讓外邊的人進去。以前來往的朋友也不敢跟她說話，也不敢跟她來往，很少來往，現在。孩子小的太小了，四歲不到，大的孩子有點內向，大兒子已經都一年級了，不(想)上學，說同學跟他不玩(在一起)。」
菊爾指出，她的7歲弟弟親眼看見父親被警察帶走，現在變得孤僻內向，並經常做噩夢。
伊力哈木妻子古再努爾也向《新唐人》表示，她現在特別擔心大兒子的身體和心理。
北京維族學者伊力哈木•土赫提妻子古再努爾﹕「孩子他就特別怕，我家外面24小時他們(警察)坐著，他們自己也（覺得）不安全，孩子，怕爸爸的安全、爸爸的身體。孩子心里特別不舒服，他們天天想爸爸，老師問很多問題他甚麼都沒說話，他就哭。我現在特別難受，那個孩子的事。他就(做)夢，天天做夢，他有時候(睡下去)馬上起來…媽媽，我想爸爸，我做夢了。」
伊力哈木是《維吾爾在線》網站的創辦人。他的數名維吾爾學生，包括《維吾爾在線》的前任編輯和翻譯等人，在伊力哈木被警方帶走的同一天也被警方抓走。
今年2月20號，烏魯木齊人民檢察院以「涉嫌分裂國家罪」，正式逮捕伊力哈木。同一天，他的學生之一，「中央民族大學」碩士生栢爾哈提.哈力木拉提，也以同一罪名被批准逮捕。
古再努爾﹕「包括他帶的那6個學生，他們也天天打電話問我有消息嗎﹖他們老師有消息嗎﹖我說沒有，已經沒有消息了。他們學生的家長現在也特別擔心。他們就已經不讓見，真的我們就沒有辦法，我們現在(只能)等他們的消息。」
菊爾指出，中共囚禁他父親唯一的原因，僅僅是他主張人權，並替維吾爾人爭取平等待遇。
去年2月，伊力哈木原定前往美國「印弟安那大學」，擔任一年的客座教授，菊爾當時也跟隨父親去美國，但父親在北京機場被扣時，堅持讓女兒上飛機。菊爾抵達美國後，一直在「印弟安納大學」讀英語。
伊力哈木自2009年7月新疆發生大規模騷亂後，就被當局軟禁。他質疑中共當局對新疆多次發生暴力事件的解釋，並且公開批評中共的新疆政策。
古再努爾﹕「(新疆)那邊給他的罪我覺得太過分了。他哥哥也去了兩三次了，我都沒去。他們也不讓見，律師也去了兩次，也不讓見，律師也說，我們就等吧﹗」
古再努爾與代理律師李方平商量再次到烏魯木齊，申請與丈夫會面。
北京律師李方平﹕「我跟他們先取得聯繫再說吧，否則的話，過去的話又不接待，又以上次說的那個理由(不讓見) ，上次已經以涉及所謂的國家秘密，妨礙偵查。」
美國國務院發言人普薩基，對伊力哈木遭拘留深表關注，她呼籲中共當局確保土赫提及他的學生，享有國際人權範圍裡，應當享有的相關保障和自由，包括言論自由。

Jailed Ilham Tohti’s Daughter Refused Interview,
Give’s Evidence to US Congress:
Associate Professor of Central University for Nationalities
Ilham Tohti, was intercepted by police on Jan. 15.
During the past three months, his family have been unable
to see him.
On April 8, his daughter Jewher Ilham, attended a hearing held
by a US Congress panel looking into human rights in China.
She said, her father has never attempted dividing China,
but now her family in China are being suppressed by the Chinese
Communist Party(CCP) regime.
Nineteen year old Jewher Ilham, told US congress, the CCP
Authorities accused his father of instigating divide and hatred,
and supporting terrorism, which has no grounds.
In fact her father opposes all forms of violence.
Currently, Ilham Tohti is being detained in the Custody Centre
of Urumqi Municipal Public Security of Xianjiang.
He has been refused permission for an interview.
Jewher Ilham said, her family members in Beijing are also
being punished by the Government.
There are eight officers dispatched to watch over her family,
with 24-hour surveillance. .
An elder female cousin of Ilham Tohti, was interviewed by NTD.
She says, all visitors to Ilham Tohti’s home, are forcibly examined.
His mother in Xinjiang is seriously concerned
about her son and cries everyday.
She had been sent to the hospital on two occasions
since he was detained.
Ilham Tohti’s older female cousin: “Things are decidedly turning
bad for us now.
Past friends who once chatted to Ilham’s wife,
no longer do.
His children are very young and less than
four years of age.
The eldest one is a little introverted and is at grade one
of elementary school.
But he does not want to go to school, saying his school friends
ignore him, they no longer wish to play.”
Jewher Ilham points out, her seven year old brother,
witnessed the process of his dad being arrested.
He has now becomes very anti-social and introverted.
He also often has nightmares.
Ilham Tohti’s wife Guzaili Nu’er told NTD, how she is now
particularly worried about her elder son’s health.
Guzaili Nu’er: “The children feel much fear at present. we are
being watched constantly by the police.
They also do not feel safe with Dad gone.
They fear for his safety too.
It is bringing them much distress, they miss him immensely.
Even when teachers at school ask the elder son questions,
he does not answer, he can only cry.
Their situation is so very sad to see.
The children are having many restless nights,
with many dreams everyday.
Sometimes my son gets up as soon as he’s gone to bed.
He is not getting much sleep.
He says to me, Mum, I am missing dad, and I had a dream.”
Ilham Tohti is the founder of the website “Uyghur Online”.
Some of his Uygur students including the editor
and translator of the website were all caught
by the police in the same day when he was arrested.
On Feb. 20, Urumqi Municipal Procuratorate, officially
arrested Ilham Tohti.
They charged him with conspiring to divide the nation.
On the same day, post-graduate student of Central University
for Nationalities Perhat Xalmurat,
was also arrested and charged with the same crime.
Perhat Xalmurat was at one time, under the supervision
of Ilham Tohti
Guzaili Nu’er: “He (Ilham) was supervising six
post-graduate students.
They all ring me every day about my husband’s situation.
I replied no, no news. Their parents are also worried too.
They are not allowed to interview Ilham Tohti. I have no other ways.
All we can do now is wait for any news.”
Jewher Ilham says, there is only one reason why CCP have
arrested her father.
Its because he is supportive of good human rights and fair
treatment for the Uyghur people
February of last year, Ilham Tohti was scheduled to visit
Indiana Univeristy in US as a one-year visiting professor.
Jewher Ilham was also accompanying her father to the US.
But her dad was detained at the airport, insisting his
daughter be allowed on to the plane.
After arriving in USA, Jewher has been studying English
in Indiana University.
Since large scale turmoil broke out in Xinjiang
in July of 2009,
Ilham Tohti has been under house arrest.
He questioned the excuses of the CCP’s multiple events of
violence in Xinjiang,
He also publicly criticised the CCP’s policies on Xinjiang.
Guzaili Nu’er: “The crime by which they have charged
my husband, is such lies, its ludicrous.
His elder brother has visited him twice,
but I can not go.
He was not allowed to meet with Ilham Tohti.
The lawyer also visited twice, without success too.
The lawyer recommends we wait.”
Guzaili Nu’er is discussing her husbands case with the
lawyer, Mr Li Fangping.
They are preparing to visit Urumqi again, to re-apply
for an interview with her husband.
Beijing lawyer Li Fangping: “Let me first contact them
and then we can decide what to do.
Otherwise, the application is rejected yet again with similar
excuses, and we cannot see him again.
The limp excuse the authorities gave last time, was an issue
of national secrets, hindering detection and investigation.”
US Department of State Jen Psaki, has deep concerns for the
detention of Ilham Tohti.
She called for the CCP authorities to ensure Ilham Tohti
and his students,
the freedom to enjoy relevant security, including free speech
provided by the international human rights standards.
