【新唐人2014年04月09日訊】美中防長北京記者會上激烈交鋒
正在北京訪問的美國國防部長哈格爾與中共國防部長常萬全，4月8號在聯合記者會上展開「面對面交鋒」。
哈格爾強烈指責中共在海上有爭議地區升高緊張關係。他指出，中共無權單方面在有爭議領土上空劃設防空識別區，並表示，一旦發生衝突，美國將保護它在亞洲的盟國。
中共國防部長常萬全也針鋒相對，表示北京願意以外交手段解決領土爭議，但隨時準備對任何威脅做出回應。
這次聯合記者會，是在美、中兩國國防部長舉行兩小時閉門會談之後，召開的，儘管會談的細節沒有向外透露，但哈格爾和常萬全在記者會上激烈的言辭交鋒表明，雙方顯然沒有在東亞地區緊張關係問題上達成共識。
四律師建三江受虐 人權觀察促調查
黑龍江建三江警方拘留並酷刑虐待唐吉田、江天勇、王成、張俊傑四位維權律師事件，引起國際關注。
設在美國華盛頓的人權組織「人權觀察」，4月7號表示，中共當局應該就四位知名人權律師遭警方拘留期間，施以酷刑的案件展開調查。
「人權觀察」中國事務主任索菲•理查森說：「警方拘押人權律師並施以酷刑，所侵犯的不僅是這幾位當事人，而是整個法律專業，如果不予以公正調查並追究侵權責任，中共政府高唱的法治論調將流於空談。」
「新公民運動」案再審 聲援者被抓
「新公民運動」系列案件中的丁家喜、李蔚、張寶成案，4月8號在北京海淀法院一審再次開庭，數百人到庭外聲援，中共當局派出上百輛警車和數百警力戒備，至少6名聲援者被帶走關押。
庭審經過8小時結束，張寶成擇日宣判，丁家喜和李蔚，週三繼續開庭，而被指為「新公民運動」案首犯的許志永，將在週五作出二審宣判。
六四天網二公民記者取保候審
大陸維權網站《六四天網》公民記者柳學紅、邢鑒，在北京被刑拘一個月後，4月7號獲得取保候審，與他們一起被抓的另一名公民記者王晶，則仍被關押在東北吉林，不許律師會見。
這三名記者因在中共「兩會」期間，以圖片和文字報導訪民在天安門撒傳單、自焚等事件，被警方刑事拘留。

The Defense Secretaries of U.S .and China’s Tough Exchange.
On April 8, U.S. Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel and Chinese
counterpart Chang Wanquan challenged each other’s regions
during a meeting in Beijing.
Hagel criticized the recent Chinese Communist Party (CCP)
declaration of an air defense zone over the disputed islands
which will add to tension.
He said America will protect Asian allies
locked in disputes with China.
Chang said China stands ready to resolve the issues through
negotiation with the countries directly involved and respond
militarily to threats.
The joint press conference was held after two hours of
shoulder-to-shoulder closed door meetings between U.S.
and China defense ministers.
Although the meeting details were not released, the heated
rhetoric at the press conference between Hagel and Chang
Wanquan showed that apparently the two sides failed to
reach a common view on East Asian tension.
Human Rights Watch Promoted Investigation
on the Torture of Four Lawyers in Jiansanjiang
Heilongjiang Jiansanjiang police held and tortured four human
rights lawyers Tang Jitian, Jiang Tianyong, Wang Cheng and
Zhang Junjie, which attracted international attention.
U.S. Headquartered NGO, Human Rights Watch said on April
7 that Chinese authorities should investigate the custody and
torture of the four well-known human rights lawyers.
Human Rights Watch China Director Sophie Richardson said:
“The torture of human rights lawyers in police custody isn’t
just an assault against the individuals concerned, but also
against the legal profession.
Without an independent investigation and accountability for
the abuse, the Party rule of law rhetoric sounds empty."
The Supporters of New Citizen Movement Case are Arrested.
Ding Jiaxi, Li Wei and Zhang Baocheng’s cases from the New
Citizen Movement came to the first instance court on April 8,
Beijing Haidian court.
Hundreds of people appeared outside the court in support.
Chinese authorities dispatched hundreds of police cars and
hundreds of police on alert.
At least six supporters were taken away.
After the end of an 8 hour trial, Zhang Baocheng said
sentencing will be optional.
Ding Jiaxi, Li Wei will continue the hearing on Wednesday.
The key person in the new citizen movement case, Xu Zhiyong
will be sentenced on Friday for the second instance verdict.
Two Citizen Reporters of 64Tianwang Bailed
Continental activist website 64 Tianwang citizen reporters Liu
Xue-hong, and Xing Jian have been detained in Beijing for a
month. On April 7, they were released on bail.
Reporter Wang jing who was arrested with them is still being
held in Jilin and not allowed to meet lawyers.
The three reporters were detained when they reported on
petitioners distributing leaflets and the self-immolation in
Tiananmen Square during the Two Sessions.
