新浪微博認證的《成都商報》媒體人透露，常駐四川遂寧的《成都商報》記者劉奇，6月23號凌晨，從廣安武勝縣一家賓館的二樓墜地，5點左右不治身亡。很多網友認為劉奇死因蹊蹺，懷疑是被陷害。
《成都商報》官方微博當天下午證實了這個消息。
多名網友表示，劉奇剛領了結婚證，準備今年結婚。他在6月22號還採寫了最後一篇報導「危化物洩漏40分鐘排險」。
目前，成都官方還沒有正式回應劉奇的死因。

另外，大陸微博6月22號還傳出消息說，《南方日報》的兩名記者胡亞柱和劉維安，分別被抓捕。胡亞柱是被廣東韶關檢察院帶走，劉維安則被指控涉嫌受賄被捕。
網友披露，在此之前，胡亞柱與劉維安，揭露了韶關市委副書記林耀明分管政法、和招商期間的黑幕，報導了《雙面明哥：韶關政法亂象的透視鏡》文章。因此，很多網友認為，他們兩人的被捕和這篇文章有關。

Guangcheng’s Safety In Taiwan
Chen Guangcheng, blind human rights lawyer from Mainland
China, arrived in Taipei on June 23rd for a visit of 18 days.
Taiwan Association for China Human Rights invited Chen,
and indicated that Chen’s safety may be threatened in Taiwan.
Taiwan’s Central News Agency reported that
there have been several alerts from the intelligence agency
asking to pay attention to Chen’s safety in Taiwan.
It got precise information that a pro-Chinese Communist Party
(CCP) group would protest, throw shoes, interfere, and
harm Chen saying that his visit interferes
in China-Taiwan relations.
According to report, Taiwan National Police Agency
has assessed Chen’s visit as a project.
It will dispatch police to maintain Chen’s safety.
Chen won’t cancel his trip.
Mysterious Death Of Chengdu Business Daily Reporter
A media person from Chengdu Business Daily
posted on Sina Weibo that
Liu Qi, reporter of Chengdu Business Daily, fell
from the second floor of a hotel in Guangan on June 23. Liu died around 5am.
Many netizens think his death is strange,
and suspect that he was murdered.
Chengdu Business Daily official Weibo
confirmed his death.
Many netizens have indicated that Liu Qi recently got his
marriage certificate, and plan to have a wedding this year.
Liu also published a report “Hazardous material leak,
40 minutes to get out of danger” on June 22.
Chengdu officials haven’t respond to the cause of Liu’s death.
Rumor That Two Reporters From Southern Daily Arrested
News leaked on mainland Weibo on June 22 of two reporters
from Southern Daily, Hu Yazhu and Liu Weian, were arrested.
Hu was taken by procuratorate of Guangdong Shaoguan,
while Liu was arrested on allegation of bribery.
Netizens say that Hu and Liu revealed the corruption
of Shaoguan deputy secretary Lin Yaoming.
They published a report named “Double sided brother Ming:
Chaos of Shaoguan politics and law.”
Many netizens believe that their arrest is due to this article.
