汶川大地震將屆滿五週年,大陸各界再度發起聯署活動,呼籲當局釋放因調查汶川地震豆腐渣工程,而被判入獄的環保維權人士譚作人。
這份正在網上流傳的《釋放譚作人公開簽名倡議書》說,譚作人因起草《5.12學生檔案》,呼籲民間對汶川大地震遇難學生校舍工程質量進行調查,卻被成都市中級人民法院以「煽動顛覆國家政權罪」,判處有期徒刑5年,既荒誕離奇,又滑稽可惱。
倡議書呼籲「每一個汶川人站出來,每一個雅安人站出來,每一個中國人站出來!每個人摸摸自己的良心,然後大家一起大聲喊,立即釋放譚作人!」
目前,在公開信上簽名的已有數十人,人數還在不斷增加中。
浙江 陝西出租車 「五一」大罷工
5月1號,浙江省溫嶺市近五百部出租車,堵塞市區城西街道集體罷駛,抗議運輸部門管理不善,黑車增多,油價上漲,生意難做。當地媒體的有關報導在網上被刪除,記者也受到警告。
同一天,陝西省西安市的出租車,也舉行為期三天的大罷工,抗議政府對出租車收取高額稅、管理費和侵佔司機營運利潤。
據《大紀元》新聞網報導,罷工維權的司機大都比較齊心,但也有少部分人出車營運,被一些罷工司機憤怒的攔下砸車,當天已有多輛出租車被砸。
在京訪民「五一」美使館喊冤
「五一」長假期間,中共各信訪部門都關門,十多名在京的各地訪民,身穿狀衣到美國駐華大使館門前喊冤,不過,很快就被轄區的警察帶到派出所。
而前一批訪民剛被帶走,來自福建省泉州市的十多喊冤人又到,據說,麥子店派出所當時人滿為患。
目前,這些喊冤的訪民都被拉到「久敬莊」黑監獄,被限制人身自由。

Mainlanders Urge for The Release Of Tan Zuoren.
May 12th will mark the fifth anniversary
of the Wenchuan’s earthquake.
People from all walks of life in Mainland China
jointly launched a campaign again.
They urged for the release of environmentalist Tan Zuoren,
jailed for looking into Wenchuan’s shoddy schools’building.
A petition letter for the release of Tan
was widely spread over China’s Internet.
The letter said, Tan proposed “5.12 Student Archive," asking
victims’parents to investigate school buildings’quality.
However, Tan was sentenced to 5 years in prison
for “inciting subversion of state power."
The letter said, this is unfair and ridiculous.
The letter calls for,
“every Wenchuan and Ya’an person to stand out!
Everyone should hold their conscience high and shout:
‘Release Tan Zuoren Now!'"
So far, several tens of signatures are collected,
with the numbers continuing to go up.
Taxi Drivers On Strike In Zhejiang And Sha’anxi
On May 1st, 500 taxi drivers in Wenling City, Zhejiang,
went on strike, and blocked the road.
They protested the poor management of Logistic Bureaus,
leading to the increase of unlicensed taxis.
In addition, petrol price is going up,
thus they have hard time surviving.
Media related reports were deleted,
reporters also received warnings.
On the same day, in Xi’an City, Sha’anxi taxi drivers
launched three days strike.
They protested against government’s forced high tax’
and management fees, as well as profit deprivation.
The Epoch Times website reported
that protesters are very united.
However, several taxi drivers still worked as normal,
but their cars were blocked and smashed by angry protesters; several taxis were damaged.
Petitioners Came To Beijing’s US Embassy to Ask For Help
During May Bank Holidays in China,
all offices of State Bureau For Letters And Calls were closed.
Tens of petitioners in Beijing went
in front of the US embassy to appeal.
Soon, police came and took them away.
After the police left, another group of tens of people
from Quanzhou City, Fujian Province, turned up to protest.
It was said that Maizidian police stations
were full at that time.
Now these detainees are being transferred
to the “Jiujingzhuang” black jail, losing their freedom too.
