中共18大後即將執掌最高權力的習近平，最近收到海外媒體的極大關注。最近，台灣《卓越》雜誌刊登文章指出，「太子黨」精神領袖葉選寧、和前總書記胡耀邦之子胡德平，以及現任中組部部長得李源潮，將成為習近平掌權後的三大政治幕僚。
報導說，即將成為政治幕僚的三人中，中共元老葉劍英之子葉選寧在「太子黨」中，非常具名望，影響力很大。不過葉選寧十分低調，外界很少知道及討論他在習近平班底中的角色，其實他是習近平政、商關係重要的牽線者。
而前中共中央總書記胡耀邦的長子胡德平，近年被外界視為「大力推動改革」勢力的代言人。他在習近平傳出「背傷」之後，有消息說，習近平與他舉行了私人會談。
《卓越》報導還認為，現任中共中央組織部部長的李源潮，將被習近平倚重。報導說，根據多種說法，習近平和李源潮在政治理念上特別契合，形象也上都是「溫和派」，李源潮成為習近平重要的班底，幾乎是極自然的事。
萬人簽名反貪 包圍村委9天9夜
據《中國茉莉花革命》網站報導，廣東中山海洲村村民抗議村委私賣土地，私吞賣地款，從10月12號起包圍村委，已經九天九夜。村民簽名的「萬人上訴書」連起來的長度達數十米。
據說，事件起因是，最近傳言：海洲村村官賣地，獲得賣地款達3億，但村委會只打算分給村民每人5000元了事。村民深感不滿，因此齊集村委討說法，要真相。
大陸媒體報導說，最早在微博上發佈消息的村民，已經被抓。
甘肅再發生藏人自焚抗議事件
另外，《自由亞洲電臺》報導，10月20號，甘肅省甘南州夏河縣博拉鄉，又發生藏人抗議中共高壓政策的自焚事件，自焚者是博拉鄉27歲的拉木嘉。
報導說，當天下午約2點20分，拉木嘉在「博拉寺」附近公路上點火自焚，當場身亡。
報導引述夏河縣一名藏人的話說，拉木嘉身亡後，當地藏人和「博拉寺」的喇嘛與警察對峙，藏民阻止警察將拉木嘉的遺體帶走，並將遺體抬到「博拉寺」的經堂大殿外，為他誦經祈福。拉木嘉的家人隨後將他的遺體運回家中。
拉木嘉是2009年至今，抗議中共藏區政策的第56名自焚藏人。

Taiwan Media: Xi Jinping’s Three New Key Staff
Recently overseas media have been focusing on Xi Jinping,
the presumed next leader of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and China, after the nearing CCP’s 18th congress.
Taiwan’s magazine Zhuoyue published an article,
listing the three major political figures in Xi’s new office.
They are Ye Xuanning, spiritual leader of the “princelings,”
Hu Deping, former CCP general secretary Hu Yaobang’s son,
and Li Yuanchao, from the ministry of Organization
Department of CCP’s Central Committee.
Ye Xuanning, son of the CCP’s senior statesman Ye Jianying,
is highly regarded and influential among the “princelings.”
Ye’s public profile was kept at a low key,
thus the public had a few discussions on him.
In fact, he’s an important staff of Xi
in the political and business relations’ arena.
Hu Deping, son of former CCP leader Hu Yaobang,
is widely regarded as a spokesman of the reform force.
Sources say, Xi Jinping had private talk with him,
after Xi’s “back injury” information became public.
The article also says, Li Yuanchao from the CCP’s Central
Committee’ ministry of Organization Department will be highly relied on by Xi.
They have many commonalities in terms of political ideas,
and are both regarded as moderate, thus it is natural for Li to become Xi’s key staff.
10,000 People Sign For Anti-Corruption
Molihua.org reports of villagers in Haizhou Village,
Guangdong Province, protesting against the local committee.
The villagers claim officials have pocketed money
from land sale since October 12.
The appeal is signed by over 10,000 villagers,
and it is tens of meters long.
Village officials sold land for RMB300 million,
but plan to give only RMB5,000 per villager.
Unsatisfied villagers gathered
in front at the village committee building.
Mainland media reported that the villager,
who posted this information on a microblog, was arrested.
Another Tibetan Self-Immolation Protest
According to RFA, the 27-year-old Tibetan Lhamo Kyap
self-immolated to protest against the CCP’ rule in Xiahe county, Gansu Province on October 20.
Lhamo Kyap set himself on fire on a highway
near the Bora Monastery at around 2:20 pm.
A source told RFA that local Tibetans and monks have
stopped policemen from taking Lhamo Kyap’s body away.
They took his body to the monastery where prayers
were held, after which his family took his body home.
With his self-immolation against the rule of CCP,
these cases reached 56, since they started in 2009.
