【新唐人2012年4月23日訊】今年初，進入美駐成都總領館的重慶市副市長王立軍，據傳向美方交出大量涉及中共內幕的黑材料，但美國政府對材料內容一直保持沉默，引發外界無數猜測。而王立軍被國安帶離美領館後，短短兩個多月來，中共政壇強震不斷，直接涉及薄熙來、周永康、江澤民等「血債派」的生死命運。有美國官員批評美政府錯誤「低估了王立軍的價值」，也喪失了一次洞察中共最高領導層的機會。但也有觀點認為，從美國利益出發絕不可能庇護王立軍，而且中共政壇複雜，眼線太多，美國政府選擇暫時不對外公布材料，是有外交考慮。請看報導。
美國《華盛頓自由燈塔》網站報導說，王立軍2月6號逃進美國駐成都總領館後，美國國務院作出決定，不打算對王立軍採取「歡迎」態度。據說，美國高層曾對王立軍事件進行了磋商。華盛頓認為王立軍的「報料」價值不大，認為這主要涉及地方和個人恩怨，並且對王立軍的人品和名聲也持懷疑態度。
王立軍離開美領館後，美國駐華大使館和白宮也一直拒絕公開談論王立軍同美駐成都領事館官員的接觸，以及王立軍揭發的材料。
獨立評論員周陽：「我認為美國政府已經是做的很有外交特色了，或者是很有外交手段，因為他拿到材料後甚麼都不說，保持沉默，我甚麼都不說，我就讓你中共內部去猜。讓中共的中紀委也好，國安也好和王立軍之間去猜，中共總是懷疑王立軍說的是不是真的，是不是說全了，都說了。那王立軍呢他也會，也不是傻瓜，所以呢，我覺得，美國政府做的很有外交，很不錯。」
美國國會內部有意見說，美國本可以向王立軍提供「政治避難」，因為王立軍有可能向美國提供有關海伍德死因的信息，並幫助美國了解中共內部運作機制。
但有美國官員指出，美國絕不可能庇護王立軍，王曾幫助薄熙來「打黑」，政治背景太複雜。美國前亞洲事務高級顧問李侃如（Kenneth Lieberthal）認為，從美國政府的觀點看，捲入其中毫無益處。
美國國會「眾議院外交事務委員會」主席羅斯雷提南(Ileana Ros-Lehtinen)曾在2月要求公布所有涉及王立軍事件的外交電文、郵件和備忘錄信息。也有消息說，海外民運人士70人聯名簽署要求美國政府公開材料內容。但國務院對此並沒有回應。
獨立評論員周陽：「我感覺美國政府不會公布的，如果他公布了，那就等於給一個中共編劇本，中共的對外宣傳，等於是給了一個編劇的提綱了，那是不可能的。美國政府要是公開了，不符合一個智慧的外交手段。」
據美國官員透露，雖然有關重慶前公安局長王立軍的消息，在華府並沒有廣泛流傳，但是美國政府對王立軍提供的資料嚴加保密，不允許官員參閱相關電文，就連平時能夠閱讀這類資料的領導官員都不得閱讀。
兩個月來胡溫大動作，「血債派」連連被清除。薄熙來被撤職，谷開來以謀殺罪被追查，有消息提到，溫家寶在一次內部講話中說，不惜武力拿下週永康。而大陸網站《百度》最近也一度解禁《偽火》、「神韻藝術團」、「轉法輪」、「活摘法輪功學員器官」等內容，都直指江澤民集團死穴。

Did U.S. Underestimate Value of Wang Lijun?
Earlier this year, Wang Lijun, former Deputy Mayor
of Chongqing, fled to the U.S. Consulate in Chengdu.
It’s said that Wang disclosed a great amount
of information on the CCP insider stories.
However, the U.S. government has been reluctant to talk
about the content of the information obtained from Wang.
This triggered all kinds of speculations.
It’s been two months since Wang was taken away from
the U.S. consulate by China’s national security police.
During these two months, vigorous earthquakes on CCP’s
political stage have taken place one after another.
They all touch upon the fate of those “in debt of blood” like
Bo Xilai, Zhou Yongkang and Jiang Zemin.
Some U.S. officials criticize the U.S. government
underestimated the value of Wang Lijun.
Thus the government has lost an opportunity to have
an insight into the CCP senior authorities.
However, some opinions think that it’s impossible to accept
Wang by “political asylum” from the standpoint of the U.S.
The CCP political situation is too complicated and there are
too many planted agents.
It is from a diplomatic consideration that the U.S. government
has chosen not to publicize the information yet.
The website “Washington Free Beacon” reported news that
on Feb 6th Wang Lijun fled to the U.S. Consulate in Chengdu.
However, the United States Department of State decided
not to accept Wang Lijun under “political asylum”.
It’s said that U.S. senior authorities have discussed this incident.
Washington thought that what was disclosed by Wang Lijun is not too valuable.
What was revealed by Wang is mostly about local
and personal conflicts.
In addition, the moral quality and reputation of Wang
himself are also questionable.
After Wang Lijun left the U.S. Consulate, U.S. Embassy
in China and the White House have refused to comment
on the incident itself, or the information revealed by Wang.
The commentator Zhou Yang said: “I think the way the U.S.
government dealt with it is very diplomatic.
Since they obtained the information disclosed by Wang,
they’ve just been keeping quiet.
They haven’t said anything about it at all but let all CCP
factions guess what they got from Wang.
The CCP Central Commission for Discipline Inspection
and Ministry of State Security can only guess what Wang has disclosed to the U.S. government.
The CCP regime couldn’t stop wondering if what’s disclosed
by Wang is true or complete. Wang Lijun is not idiot either.
I think the way the U.S. government dealt with this incident
is very diplomatic and very good.”
Some U.S. Congress opinions think the U.S. could have
accepted Wang under “political asylum”.
Wang could have provided the United States some
information on Heywood’s mysterious death.
It would also help the government to better understand
the CCP’s mechanisms of operation.
However, other U.S officials have pointed out that the U.S.
shouldn’t accept Wang under “political asylum”, absolutely.
Wang Lijun has helped Bo Xilai on “cracking down
on gangsters”. Wang’s political background is too complicated.
Kenneth Lieberthal was the former Senior Director
for Asia at the U.S. National Security Council.
He thinks that from the standpoint of the U.S. government,
there is no good to come from getting involved.
Ileana Ros-Lehtinen is the chairwoman of the House Foreign
Affairs Committee.
In February, she even requested that all the telegrams,
emails and memoranda related to the “Wang Lijun Event” should be publicized.
It’s also said that a total of seventy people of the “Overseas
Democracy Movement” signed a petition asking the U.S.
government to publicize the information Wang disclosed.
However, the U.S. Department of State has yet to respond.
Zhou Yang: “I think the U.S. government won’t publicize
the information.
Once they do, they are providing an outline to the CCP
government.
Based on the outline, the CCP government could make
stories and conduct their propaganda with their own agenda.
It’s not diplomatically wise for the U.S. government
to publicize the information that Wang has disclosed.”
According to U.S. officials, although there is some news
about Wang Lijun, it’s not yet widely spread in Washington.
The information and materials provided by Wang Lijun have
been kept highly confidential.
U.S. officials are not allowed to read the related messages.
Even for those who usually can read this type of information
are not allowed to do it.
In the recent two months, Hu & Wen have taken
strong actions.
Those that are “in debt of blood” have been cleared away
one by one.
Bo Xilai has been discharged from his position.
Gu Kailai is under investigation for murder.
It’s said that in one of his internal speeches Wen Jiabao
said he would take Zhou Yongkang down even if he needs to employ military forces to do it.
Recently, China’s Baidu has even lifted a ban for some
information that has been blocked for years.
This includes “False Fire”, “ShenYun Performing Arts”,
“Zhuan Falun”, and “Organ Harvesting from Living Falun Gong Practitioners”.
All of this information directly drives Jiang Zemin’s
faction to their death.
