Taiwanese Release Stress in a Pillow Fight
台灣人枕頭大戰抒壓

People gathered in the Taiwan capital to hit and duck in a pillow fight on Saturday (April 7), in an event held on International Pillow Fight Day.
週日(4月7日),在國際枕頭大戰日舉行,人們聚集在台灣首都打枕頭戰。
Around 100 participants held pillows above their heads as organizers counted down before the 15 minute fight, which saw pillows and feathers flying through the air.
當主辦單位倒數計開打前15分鐘,約有100名參賽者高舉枕頭在頭上,可見枕頭及羽毛空中飛揚。
One 16-year-old student Jiang Shin-Yu found it to be a great stress relieving activity.
一位16歲的學生,江善宇發現這是一項很棒的抒壓活動。
[Jiang Shin-Yu, 16-Year-Old Student]:
“I am so happy that I finally got to release all my stress today. There is a lot of pressure on me from my academic work, problems in my relationship, and arguments with friends.”
16歲的學江善宇說:
「我今天很高興,所有壓力終於得到釋放。我很多壓力來自學業、感情問題及與與朋友的爭論。」
Businesswoman Qunnie found the fight to be a welcome distraction from the rising cost of living.
“The cost of fuel is very expensive recently. I heard that the electricity charge would go up too so it will be very costly to use air-conditioning. But my salary isn’t increasing. I am very upset so I came here to fight with pillows."
「最近燃料成本非常昂貴。我聽說電費也將上漲,所以使用空調會非常貴。但我的薪水並未增加。我很苦惱,所以來打枕頭戰。」
A series of pillow wars will take place in 27 Carrefour supermarkets across the island throughout the day.
一系列的枕頭戰,一整天將在全省27個家樂福超市舉行。
50 pillows sold for the price of one Taiwanese dollar (3 US cents) during the event, which was co-sponsored by 3M (Minnesota Mining and Manufacturer Taiwan Ltd) and Carrefour.
在活動期間,50個枕頭以一個台幣一元(美金3分)賣出,由3M公司(Minnesota Mining and Manufacturer Taiwan Ltd) 及家樂福共同贊助。
The International Pillow Fight Day started in 2008 and has continued every year since, with events taking place in cities across the world.
國際枕頭大戰日始於2008年,每一年持續在世界各地的城市舉行。
