【新唐人2012年3月21日訊】北京大學經濟學院教授夏業良，上週在網上倡議全國和平抗議，要求結束專制政權，並邀請社會知名人士加入。
夏業良上週四在微博上呼籲追求基本人權、憲政民主的各界人士，在全國所有城市的中心廣場， 舉行全國性和平抗議活動，要求立即結束黨禁、切實保障新聞出版、言論和集會自由，立即實行普選，軍隊警察不得爲一黨之利鎮壓民衆等。不過，他在發出呼籲的第二天晚上，再次發出︰由於某些緊急而特殊的原因，他將暫時告別微博，不知何時會恢復。隨後，夏業良與外界失去聯繫。
而在強烈的反對聲浪中獲得通過的刑訴法修正案，也一直爭議不斷。最近，有大陸網民發起抵制「惡法」的簽名活動，他們認為，刑訴法修正案的通過，等於秘密失蹤合法化，是法制的大倒退，也違反中共自己的憲法。有參加者呼籲：每一個不願被莫名失蹤的人，都應當發出自己的吶喊。活動得到眾多網友的支持，很多人甚至留下了自己的身份證號碼和聯繫電話。
此外，廣東汕頭三家計程車公司的司機連續兩天罷工，抗議油價上漲、管理費太高，以及黑車氾濫。週一，兩家出租車公司的數百名司機，把車停到市政府門前並且到高速公路堵路，當局派出大批警察到場戒備，並封鎖附近道路。罷工持續到當天晚上，直到有關部門答應條件才結束。可是第二天，同一城市的另一個出租車公司的司機，又因同樣的理由開始罷工。
另外，除了漢族民眾的抗議，大陸藏人的示威也一直沒有停止。自青海海南州同德縣香赤寺五十名僧人被警方拘留後，數百名藏民連續三天示威抗議，要求釋放被捕的僧人。週日，中共警方鎮壓示威者，向民眾投擲爆炸物，約十五名藏民嚴重受傷，一名12歲小孩死亡。
Peking University Professor Calls For National Protest
Xia Yeliang, professor in economics at Peking University,
proposed last week to launch a nationwide peaceful protest.
The initiative aims to call for an end to the autocratic regime
and Invites celebrities to join in.
Last Thursday, Xia Yeliang’s micro-blog posting called for
the pursuit of basic human rights.
Xia appealed to the constitutional democracy activists from
all sectors of the community to hold a nationwide peaceful protest in the central squares of all cities.
The initiative demands an immediate end to the ban on
political parties;
and calls for protection of freedom of the press,
speech and assembly;
the immediate implementation of universal suffrage;
and prohibition of the military police practice of repressing the public to favor the ruling party, etc..
however, the next night after the posting of his initiative,
he left a 2nd message online that due to urgent and special reasons,
he would leave his micro-blog for a while,
but that it was unknown when the posting would resume.
Since then, Xia Yeliang has lost contact with
the outside world.
Amid strong opposition, the draft amendment to Criminal
Procedure Law was passed.
Recently, mainland netizens launched a signature campaign
against what is called an “evil law".
They believe that the adoption of the amendment to
Criminal Procedure Law amounts to the legalization of secret “disappearing“ of citizens.
This is a great retrogression in the rule of law, a violation of
the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)’s own constitution.
Participants called for: Every one who does not want the
suffering of forcible and inexplicable disappearance should cry out against this ruling.
The campaign was widely supported by netizens,
many people even left their ID numbers and contact phones.
In addition, taxi drivers in Shangtou,
Guangdong went on strike for two days.
To protest against the rising price of petrol,
administration fees and unlicensed taxis.
On Monday, hundreds of taxi drivers from two large companies
parked their cars in front of city hall and blocked the highway.
Many police came to block the nearby road.
The strike lasted until the evening when the authorities
finally accepted the conditions demanded.
However, on the following day, another taxi company
in the city held a strike for the same reasons.
Except for during Han people’s protest against them,
the Tibetans’ demonstrations have never stopped.
After fifty monks had been arrested in Qinghai, hundreds of
Tibetans continuously protested for three whole days,
they asked for the release of the detained monks
from Tongde County in Hainan.
On Sunday (March 18), the police repressed the protest,
even throwing explosives at the crowd,
15 Tibetans were injured, and
one 12-year-old child died as a result.
