A newly born one-horn rhinoceros is a special attraction at the Sanjay Gandhi Zoological Park in India’s Patna City.
一隻新誕生的獨角犀牛,成了印度巴特那市桑賈伊甘地動物園的特別景點。

[Abhay Kumar, Zoo Director]:
“The female rhino Hadtali gave birth to a baby rhino at around 12:50 pm local time. This is a really pleasant moment for all of us. We have been eagerly waiting this moment.”
動物園園長庫馬爾說:「母犀牛漢德塔麗在當地時間中午約12:50分,生下了這隻初生犀牛。對我們所有人來說,這真是非常愉悅的時刻。我們等待這一刻渴望很久了。」

The number of rhinoceros in the zoo is now 13.
在這間動物園裡的犀牛數目,現在是13隻。

[Abhay Kumar, Zoo Director]:
“The Sanjay Gandhi Zoological Park holds the number one position for its rhino population, and we are continually putting our effort in the right direction.”
動物園園長庫馬爾說:「桑賈伊甘地動物園擁有最多的犀牛數,我們持續往對的方向努力。」

Visitors were seen crowding around the rhino enclosure and taking pictures of the calf and its mother.
遊客擠進犀牛護欄邊,拍下小牛與牠母親的照片。

[Vijay Kumar, Visitor]:
“I came here to visit the place. I am enjoying this moment of the baby rhino’s birth. I have seen such things on television, but now I am pleased to see the newly born baby."
遊客維賈伊庫馬爾說:「我來的這裡就是要去看這個地方。新生犀牛誕生的這一刻,我非常喜悅。我已在電視上看到了,但是現在我很高興親眼看到新生犀牛。」

Rhinoceri are heavily endangered with only 14,000 specimens found throughout the world.
犀年是高度瀕臨絕種的動物,全世界僅存14,000隻。
