Anchor: We told you yesterday about the building in Beijing that went up in flames on Monday during the Lantern Festival celebrations. It’s a hotel building that’s part of the CCTV complex.
主播：延續昨日的報導，周一在元宵燈節活動慶祝期間，北京的一棟大樓燃起熊熊大火。起火的是一棟旅館建築，屬於央視大樓複合體的一部份。
CCTV—which is China’s state-run TV station—has now confirmed that people it hired are to blame for starting the fire. They had launched dangerous fireworks from the rooftop without proper permits.
現在，中國國營的中央電視台台方已確認，這場大火是由電視台的僱員所引燃的。他們在未經允許的情況下就私自從屋頂燃放危險的煙火。
Yesterday, CCTV apologized for the incident. It had killed one fireman, injured at least six others, and severely damaged the 500-million-dollar building.
昨日，中央電視台針對這場意外道歉。這場大火造成一個消防員死亡，至少六個消防員受傷，並且對這棟造價五億元的建築物造成嚴重損害。
A spokesman for the Beijing Fire Brigade says flames spread quickly throughout the building—which was still under construction—because sprinkler systems and fireproofing were not yet in place.
北京消防隊的發言人表示，大火延燒整棟大樓的速度很快，因為這棟大樓還在蓋，裡頭的灑水系統和防火設施都還沒完成。

A leaked memo shows the Communist Party’s Propaganda Bureau ordered media to use only official reports on the incident, and prevent Internet users from posting comments and photos of the fire.
