Chinese Regime Criticizes Charlie Hebdo While
The US and Europe Show Support
On Jan.11, around 1.5 million people joined the massive
march and demonstration in solidarity with the victims of
the Charlie Hebdo shooting, protesting against terrorism
and extremism, and in support of freedom of the press.
European leaders including French President Hollande,
British Prime Minister Cameron, German Chancellor Merkel
and European Commission President Juncker, held their
hands together to lead the march.
U.S. President Obama also delivered his messages to the
French people “The U.S. stands together with you".
Political leaders from Turkey, Belgium, Denmark, Italy,
Spain, Netherland and Mali also attended the march.
The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) did not send
representatives to the march, and was absent from
the demonstration in support of French people and
universal values.
However, CCP propaganda media Xinhua released an article
titled “There Should Be Limits for Freedom of the Press".
The article criticized Charlie Hebdo cartoons as “vulgar,
ruthless and aggressive", stating “We should not agree
with critiques, insults and free speeches with no limits
or principles."
The article even asked Charlie Hebdo to “learn perspective
taking"; and
“Set a limit for its freedom of speaking", and “respect others".
Netizens: The Regime’s Core Values Are Against Humanity
Xinhua’s rude comments on Charlie Hebdo were refuted
by French media and Reporters Without Borders.
Furthermore, Chinese netizens also heavily criticized Xinhua,
saying its comments were indirectly defending for terrorists.
Some commented that, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)
was absent from anti-terrorism demonstrations.
It even openly made such kinds of
“stability maintenance" comments;
This clearly shows how the CCP turns against the whole world.
Some others said Xinhua was actually defending terrorism
that causes such a disaster;
It had no grounds to give any so-called “advice".
Zhou Tiedong, a Chinese columnist, said the CCP’s core value
system is against society, humanity, universal values, justice,
conscience and social orders.
What Xinhua said is in fact consistent with the CCP’s
views as always.
Last September, CCP propaganda Global Times
also openly voiced support for ISIS.
Hong Kong Media: China’s Deputy State Security Minister
Detained in Corruption Crackdown
Hong Kong’s South China Morning Post released an English
article on Jan. 12, saying the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)
deputy minister for state security Ma Jian had been detained
on corruption charges.
The report quoted a source who revealed that several
of Ma’s relatives were also under investigation.
The report said, Ma Jian’s fall is believed to be linked to
founder chief executive Li You and former head of the
United Front Work Department, Ling Jihua.
The report said, Ma Jian is the highest-ranking CCP security
official to be investigated since Zhou Yongkang’s downfall.
Zhou was the former CCP Politburo
Standing Committee member.
Ma’s fall “is sure to cause a stir in the international
intelligence community where he is well-known."
So far the CCP Central Commission for Discipline Inspection
has not officially confirmed the report.
