【新唐人2014年09月25日訊】香港爭取真普選的「和平佔中」行動發起人戴耀廷23號撰文表示，會在別人慶祝國家的大日子時，在香港金融區中環，擺下「爭取香港民主的盛宴」。據了解，這是「佔中」發起人至今發出的最明確暗示，預定在10月1號啟動佔中行動。
9月23號，香港大學法律系副教授、「和平佔中」發起人戴耀廷，在個人臉書和《蘋果日報》撰文，向全港市民發出參與「佔中」的邀請。
戴耀廷在文章中說，在別人慶祝國家的大日子時，我們也會在中環擺下一場爭取香港民主的盛宴，歡迎所有支持民主，並願意為達此目標而有所付出的人來赴宴。即使你只是想來觀禮，也是無任歡迎。
文章還說，中共說的普選，不是有真正選擇的國際標準普選，各方民主力量明白，以街頭抗命去爭取民主普選，是不能迴避的必經之路。
「真普選聯盟」召集人鄭宇碩：「民主運動的朋友都知道這個『佔中』是勢在必行的，我們不但要爭取一個民主的選舉制度，而且面對我們的危機，怎麼樣保衛我們的生活方式，我們的核心價值，我們做人的尊嚴。」
據了解，「佔中」發起人朱耀明已向警方申請，10月1號當天，在中環遮打道行人專用區集會。
不過，另一名「佔中」發起人陳健民表示，佔中的啟動日期，幾天後才能確定。
佔中發起人陳健民：「因為還有很多細節還沒有完全確定，我們還要看學生罷課以後，整個政治的發展形勢怎麼樣。我們大概要過幾天以後，就會比較明確向公眾來公布這個事情，是不是就是10月1號。」
陳健民23號也在《明報》撰文，強調圍觀的力量，文章說，在即將發生的佔領中環行動中，可能有上千市民在中環堵路抗議，但要佔中產生巨大的影響力，還需要上萬市民到中環，用合法的方式聲援。
陳健民估計，參與佔中的人數，將超過1萬人。
鄭宇碩：「我們希望起碼有5000到7000人左右，但是真正的人數很難估計，我最感到驕傲的就是，現在年輕人都覺醒了，願意做出承擔，讓我們感到，雖然目前的情況是非常的嚴峻，但是前途還是有希望的。」
由香港學聯發起的罷課行動，24號已進入第3天。活動首日，共有25所大專院校學生參加，人數超過1萬3千人。23號，學聯代表要求與香港特首梁振英對話，並表示，如果梁振英48小時內不與學生和市民對話，計劃將行動升級。
香港民眾爭取真普選的行動引起國際關注，由海內外31個民間組織發起的「和平香港行動」，目前正徵集10萬人簽名，以啟動美國白宮的「請願機制」，促請美國政府向中共當局和香港特區政府施壓，避免1989年六四慘劇在香港發生。
鄭宇碩：「我們預期警方的行動會來的非常強硬的，要打壓的，我們最擔心的就是，會有一些所謂愛國的組織出來搗亂，引起一些暴力事件，就把這個罪，怪罪到佔中運動。」
陳健民認為，還不至於會發生類似六四的悲劇。
陳健民：「在香港，遊行示威，包括佔領，都發生過，香港的警察絕對有能力處理這樣一個場面，不需要出動解放軍、坦克這種方法來處理香港的遊行示威。整個一國兩制、金融中心都沒可能再繼續下去，這個風險不單是對民眾，對香港政府，還包括中國來講，都是個太高的風險。」
美國《華爾街日報》23號也以「英國出賣香港」為題發表社評，指出身為《中英聯合聲明》的簽署方，英國有法律地位抗議北京違反承諾，但英國外交部卻發表了一份聲明，間接贊成中共公布的政改方案。社評承認，英國左右香港發展的能力有限，但相信中共仍懼怕英國捍衛香港自主。

Occupy Central Organizer Hints to Start October 1 “Banquet”
Occupy Central movement co-founder Benny Tai
published an article on Sept. 23.
He wrote: While others are celebrating the big day of the
country, we will set up a grand banquet in Central to fight
for Hong Kong’s democracy.
This is the strongest hint from Dai since
Occupy Central has launched.
It is speculated that the mass sit-in will start on
National Day, Oct.1.
The article is published on Apply Daily and Tai’s facebook.
He invited all Hongkongers to join Occupy Central.
Tai wrote: While others are celebrating the big day of the
country, we will set up a grand banquet in Central to fight
for Hong Kong’s democracy.
We welcome all pro-democracy supporters who are willing to
devote themselves to this cause to join.
You are more than welcome even if you only
want to observe.
The article stated that the election mentioned by Beijing is
not of international standard general elections.
The pro-democracy groups understand that fighting for a
democratic election by protesting on the street
is a necessary way and cannot be avoided.
Joseph Cheng, co-organizer of genuine federal elections:
The pro-democracy supporters know that
Occupy Central is necessary.
We not only fight for a democratic election system, but also
need to face our crisis, how to protect our way of life,
our core values and human dignity.
Sources say that Occupy Central co-organizer Chu Yiu-ming
had applied for permission to police to stage a rally at
Charter Road on Oct.1.
Another Occupy co-founder Chan Kin-man says the day
to start the rally will be confirmed in next few days.
Chan Kin-man: Because many details haven’t been confirmed,
we will see after the students strike, how the entire
political trend develops.
We will know in several days time.
Then we can announce the decision to the public
whether the event will be on Oct. 1.
Chan Kin-man published an article on Ming Pao on Oct. 23.
He stressed the power of observers.
The article says that the Occupy Central would likely have
several thousands of people to block the main road in the
city’s central financial district.
In order to have a big impact, the movement needs over 10,000
citizens to join in and support in a legal way.
Chan speculated that it would have over 10,000 people to
participate in Occupy Central movement.
Joseph Cheng: We hope to have at least
5,000 to 7,000 people.
It is hard to estimate.
I am proud that the young people are awakening,
they are willing to take responsibility.
This makes us feel that although the current situation is
severe, we still have future.
On Sept. 24, the students strike launched by Hong Kong
Students Union has carried on to its third day.
About 13,000 students from 25 universities and secondary
schools have participated on the first day.
On Sept. 23, representatives of Students Union requested a
dialogue with Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying.
If Leung doesn’t accept the request within 48 hours,
the students will take further action.
Hongkongers’ fight for general elections
has drawn global attention.
31 overseas civil organizations jointly launched a Global
Solidarity Hong Kong movement.
Currently they are running a petition and aim to
collect 100,000 signatures.
Then they can start a White House petition system,
urging the US government to pressure on China and Hong Kong
government, to avoid the tragedy of 1989 Tiananmen Students
protest happening in Hong Kong.
Joseph Cheng: We expect the police side will be very tough,
they will suppress the movement.
The most worrying is some so-called patriotic organizations
making trouble, causing violent incidents.
Then the Occupy Central would be blamed.
Chan Kin-man says the tragedy of June 4 students protest
of 1989 will unlikely happen again.
Chan Kin-man: In Hong Kong, parades including
Occupy Central movement have happened in the past,
police are absolutely capable of handling these events.
There is no need to dispatch army or tanks to deal
with Hong Kong’s protests.
Now, one country two systems and the financial center
cannot be implemented properly.
The risk is too high for Hong Kong citizens and
the government including the Mainland China.
On Sept. 23, Wall Street Journal published editorial
commented: Britain’s Betrayal of Hong Kong.
It went on to say: as a signatory to the joint Declaration,
only the U.K. has the legal standing
to protest Beijing’s broken promises.
However, the U.K. Foreign Office, “put out a statement even
more abject than silence.”
The comment states that Britain’s power to influence
developments of Hong Kong is limited.
WSJ: Yet Beijing still fears a principled statement from
London to defend the territory’s autonomy.
