中共軍隊總後勤部原副部長谷俊山,日前被中共軍事檢察院向軍事法院提起公訴,谷被控涉嫌貪污、受賄、挪用公款、濫用職權等罪。
美國《紐約時報》4月1號報導說,谷俊山遭到指控,源於中共領導人習近平發起的一項廣泛調查。這項調查顯示,習近平正高調懲罰不法將領,整頓中共軍隊。
報導說,谷俊山已經向調查人員提供了足夠信息,可以控告他的那些強大靠山。報導認為,北京當局針對谷俊山的調查「震撼了整個軍隊」,對軍中那些提拔了谷俊山,並試圖保護谷俊山的軍界元老「形成了威脅」。
茂名反對PX抗爭持續擴大
茂名反對PX項目的抗議行動仍在持續,繼4月1號白天數百民眾在廣州抗議, 9人被抓之後,1號晚上,大量示威者聚集在體育中心附近,並砸毀了一座治安亭,當局出動特警車輛到場鎮壓,警方再度施放催淚彈驅散人群,到2號凌晨,大量 市民仍在與警察對峙,茂名市政府前大草坪外的道路,也依然處於被封鎖的狀態。
有當地市民在網上呼籲3號及清明假期,前往深圳遊行抗議,獲得大量網民響應。
人權組織籲調查茂名警察暴力
也有茂名民眾傳出消息說,警方的暴力鎮壓已造成15人死亡,300多人受傷,當局則矢口否認有人傷亡。
總部設在紐約的「人權觀察」4月2號呼籲中共政府,調查茂名市警察在鎮壓民眾時,過度使用暴力的問題。
「人權觀察」在聲明中說,根據貼在社交媒體上的一些照片,數人倒在血泊裡,他們顯然失去了知覺。還有一些照片顯示身穿防暴服的警察,在踢手無寸鐵的抗議者,並用警棍敲打抗議者的頭部。
上海三千人聚集 籲建三江釋放律師
4月2號,上海三千訪民聚集市政府前抗議,並聲援在黑龍江建三江地區被抓的律師,和廣東茂名反PX抗暴活動。
現場有人打出寫著「強烈要求釋放律師團,「取締建三江黑監獄」等標語,還有人高喊「打倒共產黨、打倒腐敗」等口號。

Gu Junshan Investigation Shocks China’s Army
Gu Junshan, former Chinese military Deputy
Logistics Chief, has recently been prosecuted
by the Chinese military procuratorate.
Gu is accused of corruption, bribery, embezzlement,
abuse of power, as well as other crimes.
The New York Times reported on the case on April 1.
The charges against Gu Junshan are the outcome
of a far-reaching inquiry under President Xi Jinping.
This signaled Xi’s determination to make high-profile
examples out of dishonest military figures.
General Gu has reportedly already provided investigators
with enough information to target powerful patrons.
The New York Times believes that in doing so, he is
challenging military elders who promoted Gu Junshan.
He has sought to protect him
and them from the investigation.
Maoming Environmental Protests Escalate.
On April 1, hundreds of people continued to protest
in Guangzhou against the PX petrochemical project.
9 people have been arrested.
On the evening of April 1, a large number of
demonstrators gathered close to a sports center.
They smashed a security booth, and authorities dispatched
special police vehicles to disperse the crowds with tear gas.
On the morning of April 2, a large number
of people were still clashing with police.
The road in front of Maoming
municipal’s large lawns are still blocked.
Netizens have called for support and more people
to join protests during the Qingming Festival on April 3.
Human Rights Watch Investigates Police Violence in Maoming
It has been reported that the violent police crackdown
has killed 15 people, injuring more than 300 people.
Authorities are denying the reports.
On April 2, Human Rights Watch called for
the Chinese government to investigate the
police violence against people in Maoming.
Human Rights Watch reported that images on social media
sites showed people laid unconscious in pools of blood.
Some photos show police wearing riot
gear, and kicking unarmed protesters.
They can also be seen beating
protesters on the head with batons.
Three Thousand Protest in Shanghai for Release of Jiansanjiang Lawyers
On April 2 in Shanghai, three thousand petitioners
protested in front of the municipal building.
They were calling for the release of lawyers
arrested in Heilongjiang’s Jiansanjiang area.
They were also calling for an end to violence
against protestors in Maoming, Guangdong.
Some heldof lawyers,” and “remove Jiansanjiang black jails”.
People were shouting, “strike down the Chinese
Communist Party, and strike down the corruption.”
