正在遭受颱風「菲特」災害的浙江餘姚，10月9號爆發警民衝突。
據《中國茉莉花革命》網站報導，9號下午，餘姚市三七市鎮勝利村數百村民堵塞61省道，抗議官方故意拆除村民自建的沙袋防洪壩，導致勝利村洪水更加氾濫。
當局出動大批警察和輔警到場，期間發生衝突，派出所打算逮捕一民眾，更導致民眾愈加激動。
受颱風「菲特」影響，餘姚市連續強降雨，導致全城70%被洪水掩沒，交通癱瘓，通信中斷。
民生觀察籲關注民眾「被精神病」
10月10號是「世界精神衛生日」，大陸「民生觀察工作室」星期四發佈公開信，呼籲各界關注中國的「被精神病」現象。所謂「被精神病」就是將沒患有精神病的人，關進精神病院迫害。
公開信說，近些年來，中國的「被精神病」現象越來越嚴重。據《民生觀察》建立的《中國精神病院受難者資料庫》不完全統計，被收錄在案的「被精神病」 受害者就有近千名。這些受害者中有上訪者、拆遷戶、失地農民和下崗工人等，地區範圍遍及全國所有省市區。他們有的被關幾天、幾個月、幾年、有的甚至被關 一、二十年。
信中指出，精神病院變成「維穩」幫兇。法制、人權皆被中共的所謂「穩定」所壓倒。
因言獲罪記者劉虎被正式批捕
廣州《新快報》記者劉虎的家人，10月10號接獲劉虎已被批准逮捕的消息，劉虎的妻子在微博貼出逮捕通知書。
劉虎的律師周澤對《德國之聲》表示，中共對劉虎的指控是「因言治罪」，可能是當局對他舉報多名高官所採取的打擊報復。
大陸網友也對這個結果表示不平，很多人在微博上說﹕這是「官官相護」﹔也有人問 「舉報的人被抓了，被舉報的呢？」還有人質疑，「說實話就這個下場嗎？」
調查記者劉虎今年７月２９號，通過微博舉報中共國家工商總局副局長馬正其，涉嫌助人侵佔國有資產和瀆職。在此之前，劉虎還實名舉報上海高院代院長崔亞東濫用職權﹔也曾經將一名當事人舉報陝西省公安廳廳長杜航偉的舉報信，在自己的微博上公開。

Zhejiang Villagers Protest Against Flood Barrier’s Removal
Yuyao City, Zhejiang Province is affected by Typhoon Fitow.
On Oct. 9, police and local people clashed.
According to molihua.org, in the afternoon, several hundred
villagers from Shengli village, Yuyao City blocked a road.
They protested against officials removing the sandbag flood
barrier. It caused the flooding to be even worse.
The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) sent masses of
police over and villagers and police clashed.
Police intended to arrest some protesters,
but this fueled peoples’ anger.
Yuyao City is affected by the storm, and the continuous rain.
70% areas of the city were flooded.
Roads were closed, communication is impossible.
World Mental Health Day : Stop Using Mental Hospitals
To Persecute Innocent People.
October 10 is World Mental Health Day.
Civil Rights & Livelihood Watch (CRLW)
issued an open letter.
The letter urges people to be concerned with the issue of
people getting “forced treatment in mental hospitals".
It refers to healthy people being persecuted and sent
to mental hospitals to be tortured.
The letter said, in the last year, this phenomenon worsened.
According to CRLW’s data, at least 1000 people were forced
into mental hospitals.
It includes, petitioners, people whose house were demolished,
farmers whose lands were seized, and laid off workers.
This problem exists in every city. People were held for days,
months, or even held for 10 to 20 years.
The letter points out that mental hospital become assistants
of human rights abusers.
The law and human rights were violated
by the so-called maintaining “stability".
Reporter Liu Hu Arrested For Online Exposure
Of Corrupt Officials
On Oct. 10, Guangdong New Express journalist Liu Hu’s
family received a notice letter that Liu was under arrest.
Liu’s wife posted the letter on Weibo microblog.
Liu’s defense lawyer Zhou Ze told Deutsche Welle, the
allegation against Liu was for “improper expression".
Liu reported several corrupt officials in the past,
the regime adopted retaliation.
Netizens expressed their anger on Weibo:
“Officials always support officials".
Some people questioned: “People who exposed corruption
are arrested, what’s happen to the corrupt officials?"
“Would one be punished for being honest like this?"
On July 29, investigative reporter Liu Hu posted on Weibo
accusing Ma Zhengqi, deputy director of State Administration
for Industry and Commerce, of dereliction of duty and for
assisting other people to occupy the national assets.
Prior to this, Liu accused Cui Yadong, acting president
of Shanghai court of abusing his power.
Liu also publicized someone’s letter exposing the corruption
of Du Hangwei, director of Sha’anxi Public Security Bureau.
