Snowden Puts Communist China in Awkward Situation
US espionage Snowden is currently hiding in
Moscow’s Sheremetyevo International Airport.
After being refused asylum by 21 countries,
Snowden is said to be bound for Ecuador.
The regime associated Huanqiu.com had
a series of reports about Snowden’s case,
but also accidentally revealed the awkward
situation the regime is facing.
Snowden’s relationship with the regime such as the
current Politburo Standing Committee Liu Yunshan’s son,
and grandson of former leader Jiang Zemin
is slowly being exposed.
Last Friday Ecuador, Nicaragua and Bolivia all expressed
willingness to provide asylum to Snowdon.
Huanqiu.com commented on the 8 countries about how
they have very little fear of “intimidation” from the US.
However, such a comment can also be interpreted
as the Communist regime refusing this “hot potato” for fear of intimidation from the US.
Political analyst Chen Pokong:
“When the US requested for the extradition of Snowden,
the Communist regime quickly had Hong Kong
send him away.
The regime might feel proud of its quick decision.
But in fact it has offended both sides.
Sending him to Moscow only gets Snowden case
even more complicated.
The US is certainly unhappy with China for pushing
Snowdon case towards the international arena.
The domestic Maoist lefty is also greatly disappointed
by such hasty reactions from the Communist regime."
Hong Kong based Chengming magazine’s July issue published
an article titled, “Beijing manipulates Snowden case.”
This article revealed Chinese Politburo’s worried about
either losing face for showing weakness to the US or US reprisal by offending US.
The article listed the regime’s worries.
It fears possible social impact on the regime
if US government exposes overseas regime officials’ records.
It fears even more about recurrences of Wang Lijun
seeking asylum to the US Consulate.
The article indicated how the Politburo approved
the special Foreign Affairs team proposed by the State Council to handle Snowden case.
Out of various concerns from the Politburo,
the regime decided to send off this “hot potato”.
In fact, even if Snowden stays in Ecuador,
the regime will not be able to stay out of this case.
Much information is being revealed about the relationship
between the regime and Snowden.
A recent investigation of Hong Kong based weekly,
Yazhou Zhoukan, showed a close relationship between former employer of Snowdon,
Booz Allen Hamilton Holding’s parent company,
Carlyle Group, and the Communist regime.
Both grandson of Jiang Zemin, Jiang Zhicheng, and
son of current Politburo Standing Committee Liu Yunshan, Liu Lefei, are also all involved.
The Communist regime is also embarrassed for
not being able to take advantage of Snowdon case, thus making a big fuss about it.
The US based Beijing Spring magazine editor Hu Ping:
“Of course, the regime is aware of the fact that it can’t make a fuss about it.
It is widely known that the regime conducts both
foreign cyber attacks and strict domestic surveillances."
Beijing Spring editor Hu Ping pointed out that
the Communist regime intends to confuse the public
about the different purposes of intelligence done by the US and the Communist regime.
Hu Ping: “It tells clearly why a majority of Americans
know nothing and care little about domestic surveillance.
It is because the government would not exploit the information
and conduct harassment and persecution against its people.
But the Communist regime will and it happens
in China every day."
Although the regime deliberately confuses the purpose of US
surveillance programs, it inadvertently inspired the Chinese.
They can do the same as Snowdon —- exposing information.
Recently, Beijing lawyer Xie Yanyi proposed to the Ministry
of Public Security to “disclose information” and explain questions about the surveillance.
Chen Pokong indicated that Snowdon case inspires
the Chinese to rebel.
A similar whistleblower from within the regime about the
cyber attacks and monitoring will certainly create tens,
even a hundred times more effect than that
of Snowden case.
Therefore, the major task of the regime
is to strictly control its core cyber personnel.
