9月24號,大陸成都中院對前重慶市副市長兼公安局局長王立軍案作出一審宣判,王立軍徇私枉法、叛逃、濫用職權、受賄四罪並罰,僅獲刑15年,剝奪政治權利一年。判決結果一公布,立刻引起大陸網絡一片嘩然。很多網友認為,王案判決顯示,中國的法律又一次被踐踏。

網友「夜扣柴扉‏@wjp8779」甚至表示:活摘器官,王立軍是活體移植領域的泰鬥,這個罪定了,其他罪簡直都可以忽略不計。這不是判刑,這是行賞。

香港時事評論員劉銳紹也表示,這完全是一項「政治考慮遠大於法律層面」的判決。

王立軍判15年 薄案發展受關注

王立軍的判決宣佈後,薄熙來的命運已成為外界猜測的熱點。各界專家對於薄熙來是否會被送上刑事法庭或僅受到輕微黨紀處分意見不一。

《德國之聲》引述北京大學法學教授賀衛方的話說,這次對王立軍相對較輕的判決,以及官方證實王立軍在被薄熙來打耳光後,揭露了薄熙來的犯罪線索,加深了外界有關中共可能追究薄熙來刑事責任的預測。賀衛方說,薄熙來周圍的法網正在收緊,未來必定會面臨刑事訴訟。

報導還引述北京政論家李衛東的猜測說,一週之內,中共可能宣佈將薄熙來交給法律部門。他表示,如果不儘快對薄熙來一案做出決定,中共便難以在十月中旬或月底舉行十八大。

逾七十艘台灣漁船前往釣魚島

據台灣《中央社》報導,有超過70艘台灣漁船9月24號下午,從南方澳漁港出發前往釣魚島海域,台灣政府並派10艘以上海巡署艦隊隨行。

這些漁船預計25號凌晨5點在釣魚島西南方外海約20浬集結,再以5艘漁船為一組,繞行釣魚島。繞島時,漁船將設法突破日本巡邏艇的防線,希望挺進釣魚臺12浬海域繞島,向日方表達不滿,也不排除登島。

對於台灣這次大規模的保釣行動,日本方面派出了交流協會理事長今井正到臺,與臺方官員進行協商。希望能早日重啟日臺間的漁業談判。

山西太原富士康數千員工群起抗暴

山西太原富士康廠9月23號晚發生數千員工群體抗暴事件,從當晚11點過後持續到24號凌晨5點,傷亡人數達到三十多人。

據《大紀元時報》報導,事件因保安圍毆員工引起,最後發展到數千人參與,附近的網吧、手機店、超市等被砸或被哄搶,公共設施被推翻,許多車輛也被推翻。當局動用了幾千名武警官兵,還包括許多拿棍棒的便衣前來鎮壓。

報導說,24號,太原廠區及周邊全部戒嚴,「鴻海集團」也宣佈關閉工廠一天。

On Sept.24th Wang Lijun, former Chongqing police chief

was sentenced by Chengdu intermediate people’s court.

Wang was found guilty of bending the law to selfish ends,

defection, abuse of power and accepting bribes.

Wang received 15 years jail sentence and deprivation

of political rights for one year.

However, Wang’s final sentence immediately triggered

controversy on the internet.

Many netizens believe that Wang’s sentence shows that

the law in China has been violated once more.

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Sentenced Wang Lijun

to 15 Years, Now Focused on Bo Xilai’s Fate

Since Wang Lijun trial has come to an end,

his boss Bo Xilai’s fate has become public focus.

China experts have different opinions regarding whether Bo will

be sent to criminal court or punish him lightly within the party.

Deutsche Welle quoted law Prof. He Weifang of Peking

University that because Wang received a lenient sentence,

officially it confirmed Bo Xilai slapped him,

then he exposed the details of Bo’s crimes.

This deepen the outsiders’ guessing about the (CCP) may

charge Bo with criminal responsibilities.

He Weifang said that the net around Bo is tightening,

Bo will face criminal charges for sure.

The report also cited Li Weidong, a political commentator in

Beijing that, in a week, the CCP may announce handing over Bo Xilai to the court.

Li said that without making a decision on Bo

the CCP will find it hard to hold 18th Congress in October.

More Than 70 Taiwanese Boats Sail for Diaoyu (Senkaku) Islands

Taiwai’s Central News Agency reported that, on the afternoon

of Sept.24th more than 70 Taiwanese fishing boats sailed to Diaoyu (Senkaku) Islands waters from Port Suao.

The Taiwan government sent dozens of Coast Guards vessels

to escort them.

These boats are expected to arrive at 20 nautical miles away

from south-west Diaoyu Islands waters at 5am on Sept.25th.

They planed to protest around Diaoyu Islands

with five boats in a group.

During their protest, they plan to break through Japanese Coast

Guards’ blockage to approach Islands 12 nautical miles closer.

In addition, they will also protest against the Japanese side

and possibly land on the Islands.

Regarding Taiwanese boats’ protest, Japan sent representative

Tadashi Imai to negotiate with Taiwan authorities hoping to re-start the fisheries negotiations between the two sides.

Thousands of Shanxi Foxconn Workers Protest

In the evening of Sept.23rd, thousands of workers at Foxconn

plant in Taiyuan, Shanxi province held large-scale protests against violent action towards employees.

It started at 11pm until 5am the next day;

more than 30 people were injured.

The Epoch Times reported that the event occurred

when a security guard beat an employee.

In the end over a thousand people joined the protest. Internet cafes,

mobile phone shops and supermarkets were smashed and looted.

Public property was damaged, many vehicles were turned over.

Dozens of armed police were sent to the site, including

some plain-cloth police with batons in hands.

The report said that, on Sept.24th, the areas near

Foxconn plant in Taiyuan were blocked by police.

Foxconn Technology Group announced

they were closing the factory that day.
