CCP Top Leaders Still At Odds
The trial of Wang Lijun’s case recently ended.
Wang was former Chongqing’s vice mayor and police chief.
Official media of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)
published a lengthy news report on Wang’s case.
However, the officially released details
had all been reported earlier on by foreign medias.
Commentators say, the CCP media’s cover up has made
matters worse, pushing to proceed with Bo Xilai’s case.
On September 19, Xinhua Agency issued a 6000-word
article, releasing the details about Wang Lijun’s trial.
The article said, “By the end of December 2011,
Wang Lijun’s four minors were illegally investigated.”
“And clashes between Wang Lijun
and Gu Kailai became tense.”
“In early February, three of Wang’s staff
were illegally investigated.”
“On January 28, 2012, Wang reported Chongqing’s
then CCP leader (Bo Xilai) on suspicion of a murder by Gu Kailai.”
On January 29, Wang was rebuked by “the chief leader”
and “slapped in the face,” according to Xinhua.
Critic Chen Pokong, visiting scholar at Columbia University,
comments on Xinhua Agency’s article.
Chen says, it intended to tell the world that the regime
has fair judiciary, which has given penalty to Wang Lijun.
However, the news has leaked more inside stories.
Chen Pokong: “Wang’s case firstly implicated Bo Xilai.
So not only Wang should’ve been charged with malpractice
and power abuse, Bo should’ve faced the same charge too.
The news mentioned “the chief leader,”
which refers to Bo Xilai.
But why did it avoid to specify his name?
That indicates CCP’s top leaders are still at odds.”
Bo Xilai was only accused of Party discipline violation.
Chen Pokong: “During its 63 years of power,
CCP has ruled the law instead of being ruled by the law.
Wang was tried because CCP’s top leaders wanted this.
Bo Xilai’s trial exemption was also due to their intervention,
although he was implicated in Wang’s case.
Such a case hearing and trial transcripts themselves,
are a huge irony to the existing CCP system.”
The details released by Xinhua Agency were exposed
by foreign media as early as February this year.
Chen Pokong says, the hearing of Wang’s case has proved
the “rumors” touted by the CCP earlier are all facts.
Western media reported that Bo’s family
hid money overseas, up to USD6 billion.
Chen Pokong: “The CCP top leaders haven’t finalized
how to handle Bo Xilai’s case.
But I believe that Xi Jinping will definitely axe Bo.
Xi and Wen Jiabao have shown resolution to dispose of Bo.
Keeping Bo Xilai would pose
the biggest threat to Xi Jinping.
To assure smooth convening of the18th Party Congress,
the anti-Bo faction yielded to the pro-Bo forces.
That is, to suspend the handling of Bo Xilai’s case.”
Xinhua’s article said that Wang Lijun
“had informed on the major crimes of others.”
And it played an important role in the investigation.
Chen Pokong believes that the “others” also refer to Bo Xilai.
Earlier on, the Epoch Times exposed Bo Xilai and his wife
as involved in the live organ harvesting and sale of corpses.
British businessman Neil Heywood and Wang Lijun
were also implicated in these crimes.
Bo’s wife Gu Kailai murdered Heywood
for suspecting she lost his loyalty.
In fear of facing the same fate,
Wang Lijun fled to the US Consulate to seek asylum.
Critic Ren Baiming says, US hearing and UN Human Rights
Council put CCP’s organ harvesting from live Falun Gong practitioners under a global spotlight.
Ren Baiming predicted that it will not be long before we see
the full exposure of this evil that the CCP tries to cover up.
Ren Baiming: “These exposed figures
typically represent the CCP officials.
The exposure of these scandals and dark secrets
have directly shaken the legitimacy of the CCP’s rule.
Many Chinese people have now awoken
by quitting the CCP to get rid of its thought control."
By now, over 120 million Chinese have renounced the CCP,
according to Yi Rong, Global Quit CCP Center’Chair.
She welcomes all Chinese people’ renouncing
of the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
