Foreign Media: Bo Xilai Will Face Criminal Prosecution
On September 19, the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP)
mouthpiece Xinhua disclosed details of Wang Lijun’s case.
They directly attracted overseas attention to Bo Xilai,
the former CCP’ Secretary of Chongqing.
Many Western mainstream media analyzed that Bo would be
severely punished by the CCP, and face criminal prosecution.
Xinhua’s article says, on January 28, Wang Lijun mentioned
to a Chongqing leader about Gu Kailai’s crime involvement.
It was about Gu being the major crime suspect
of the Haywood murder.
Outsides believed that this Chongqing leader
was former Chongqing CCP Secretary Bo Xilai.
Wall Street Journal thinks Xinhua’article is the most explicit
material where Communist China hints about Bo Xilai’s guilt.
Reuters also said that this Xinhua report almost unmistakably
points to Bo Xilai, and Bo will face criminal prosecution.
Several UK newspapers also agreed that Bo would face
criminal prosecution because of Haywood’s murder.
Financial Times reported that Xinhua disclosing Wang Lijun
case details obviously links Bo to a criminal prosecution.
The report suggests that Beijing is preparing
for the criminal trial of Bo Xilai.
Times wrote, Bo Xilai reprimanded and slapped Wang Lijun,
but took no action to investigate Gu Kailai’s murder.
This was very likely used as an evidence
against Bo’s concealing crimes.
UN Screens Falun Gong Organ Harvesting’ Documentaries
On September 19, two movies about Falun Gong were shown
in the General Assembly of the UN’s Human Rights Council (UNHRC) in Geneva.
The documentaries, “Free China: The Courage To Believe,"
and “Between Life And Death," show the CCP’ persecution and organ harvesting of Falun Gong practitioners.
They attracted a number of delegates who attended the UN’
Conference on Human Rights and NGO representatives.
At the screenings, Epoch Times’ editor-in-chief Ms. Guo Jun
provided additional information on the films and the issue.
Guo disclosed that the central figures of the current political
scandal in China, Wang Lijun, Bo Xilai and Gu Kailai, are all involved in the organ harvesting.
Bo Xilai was overseeing Dalian, where the earliest
and most serious place of organ harvesting had started.
Guo said: “Now those directly involved in organ harvesting,
Bo Xilai and Wang Lijun, have been arrested.
Many victims’ families, doctors and insiders are passing on
information on organ harvesting overseas.”
Ai Weiwei Accused Of Manipulating Anti-Japanese Protests
On September 20, famous Chinese dissident artist Ai Weiwei
spoke to AFP about the late anti-Japanese protests in China.
He said, these large-scale demonstrations were instigated
by the senior leadership of Beijing.
According to Ai, the Communist authorities tried to make
the demonstrations look spontaneous, but many details were a result of careful preparation.
The demonstrations were spurred by the officials
in many parts of the country, the dissident claims.
Ai photographed how protesters surround US Ambassador
Gary Locke’s car on Tuesday, and uploaded the video online.
Ai told AFP that he was right there,
and photographed the scene of the attack.
Ai Weiwei called the Chinese Communist authorities’
tactics to manipulate public opinion “too naïve."
