【新唐人2012年9月1日訊】《中國商務印書館》出版的第六版「現代漢語詞典」，其中收錄「NBA」等239個英文詞語，日前被百名學者連署舉報，這本詞典違反相關法規，並指控「漢字拉丁化是對漢字最嚴重的破壞。」也有學者認為，文字是一種承傳「價值觀」的工具，漢字是世界上最古老的文字，是歷史最久遠的象形文字，從漢字的寫法上就能看出一個字的意義和它的褒貶色彩。自從中共把漢字簡體化之後，現在的簡體字完全看不出文字的內涵和意義。
由100多位學者聯合簽名的舉報信，被分別送到了新聞出版總署和國家語言文字委員會。舉報的內容是，《中國商務印書館》今年出版的第6版《現代漢語詞典》收錄「NBA」等239個英語縮寫詞，違反了國家的相關法律法規。
這些學者認為，在詞典中把英語詞彙作為正文，用英文替代漢字，是把漢字拉丁化，這是對漢字的嚴重破壞。學者表示，外來事物不經翻譯直接以英文原詞或原詞組的縮略形式，進入人們的語言，對漢語的安全造成傷害。例如，以「NBA」替代「美職籃」；「國內生產總值」，用GDP入文﹔「世界貿易組織」，用WTO入文。學者說，作為工具書，《現代漢語詞典》應該在語言的規範性上，做出表率。
而更令學者擔心的是，中共把漢字簡體化。古漢語學者焦國標表示，自從中共建政之後，對中國的正體字進行了簡化，現在的簡體字完全看不出文字的內涵和意義。
古漢語學者焦國標：「他(中共)大規模的在短短的十幾年，把漢字幾乎都變完了，簡化的不成樣子，這個情況歷史上是沒有的，和漢字本身的脫節，從文字上、從閱讀的時候，實際上它是不和諧的，很大的工程，最後弄的是成為一種混亂，你說雞蛋那個蛋搞成元旦那個旦，它沒有意義了。」
美國「飛天大學」客座教授章天亮認為，詞彙只要是承傳的內涵還在，那麼那些外來詞彙是不會對漢語造成本質性的衝突，它只不過是在日常生活中，作為一種溝通而增加的新名詞而已。
章天亮表示，漢語有一些「通神性的詞彙」，屬於靈性層面的，例如意境、會意等等，也就是「神傳文化」的內涵。
美「飛天大學」客座教授章天亮：「中國人有一種跟神溝通的文化，有很深的中國人的內涵和很高的來源，那麼『天朝』這個詞，就承載了很多這樣的意思，由於中共的網絡封鎖，所以大家就想了一些詞彙，去迴避這個封鎖，就把『天朝』變成一個貶抑的詞了，變成形容共產黨了，所以這種變異的話，就比較可怕的。」
章天亮說，中國受黨文化的影響，很多的漢字詞彙，已經把過去原始的正統含意給變異了。
章天亮：「比如偉大，這是一個很好的詞，但是他不斷的用偉大來歌頌共產黨，就把偉大這個詞，賦予了很多黨文化的內涵，就是類似這樣的詞，我覺得是共產黨濫用了中國文化，或者是反著用中國文化，還有甚麼叫做和諧，過去孔子講，君子和而不同，就是在構成天地間的和諧之類，這是和諧的真正含意，現在的和諧變成被抓起來不讓人說話。」
學者認為，漢字承載中華千年文化內涵和道德規範，然而簡體字的出現對漢字的破壞力很大，加上共產黨用中國文化的形式，來破壞中國文化的真正內涵，這無疑是給悠悠五千載文化劃上一道歷史傷痕。

Simplified Characters Destroy Chinese Language
China Commercial Press published the sixth edition
of “Modern Chinese Dictionary," with 239 English words, including NBA.
One hundred scholars have reported this dictionary violates
relevant laws and regulations.
They also accused it of Latinizing Chinese characters—
the most serious destruction of the Chinese language.
Some scholars believe that language is a valuable lesson
in heritage.
Traditional Chinese language is the world’s most ancient
language. It is the oldest historical hieroglyphs.
From the structure of a Chinese character,
one can see its meaning.
Since the CCP simplified Chinese characters, now we fail
to recognize the meaning and significance of Chinese characters.
A letter co-signed by more than 100 scholars was sent
to the Press and Publication Administration and the National Language Committee.
The content of the letter states that the China Commercial Press
6th version of “Modern Chinese Dictionary"
includes 239 English abbreviations, such as “NBA," and that
is in violation of the relevant laws and regulations of the country.
These scholars believe that using English vocabulary
to replace Chinese characters in the dictionary is Latinizing Chinese characters and
this cause’s serious destruction to the Chinese characters.
The scholars said that introducing foreign phrases
into the Chinese language without translation,
the abbreviated form of the original word in English,
or the original phrase, will harm the safety of Chinese language.
For example, NBA, which replaced National Basketball
Association, GDP,
which replaced Gross Domestic Product and WTO for
“World Trade Organization” are all included in the text.
The scholars said that as a reference book, “Modern Chinese
Dictionary" should lead by example regarding language specification.
The scholars are more concerned about the appearances
of simplified Chinese characters under the Communist rule.
Ancient Chinese language scholar, Jiao Guobiao, thinks that
we can no longer tell the meaning and significance of a simplified character nowadays.
Ancient Chinese language scholar Jiao Guobiao: “The CCP
changed almost all Chinese traditional characters in less than 20 years.
The simplified characters are so horrendous that they
are disconnected from Chinese language.
When one is reading from the text, it is discordant and leads
to confusion at the end.
The character ‘egg’ in simplified form does not make sense
at all.”
Zhang Tianliang, a visiting professor at George Mason Univ.
Stated that
If the connotation of the vocabulary is still there, those
foreign words won’t cause conflict to the Chinese language;
they are only communicative terms in people’s daily lives.”
Zhang Tianliang added that Chinese language has some
“Divinely inspired terms” related to the spiritual dimension,
such as realm, enlightening, etc,
which carries the connotation of divine culture.
Prof. Zhang Tianliang: “Chinese people have a culture
of communicating with God, a deep connotation of their origin, which stems from a high source.
The term ‘heavenly dynasty’ carries such spiritual meaning.
Due to the CCP’s Internet blockade, which people try to evade,
the word ‘heavenly’ has become a derogatory word and describes the Communist Party.
It is a rather terrible deviation."
Zhang Tianliang said under the influence of Party culture,
many Chinese vocabularies have mutated into something totally different from the original orthodox meanings.
Zhang Tianliang: “The word ‘greatness’ is a good word.
It has been used to praise the Chinese Communist Party
(CCP), and thus, it adds a lot of party culture connotation.
I would say that it is the CCP abuse of Chinese culture.
What is harmony?
According to Confucius, a gentleman is agreeable
and yet unique, and he constitutes the harmony between heaven and earth.
This is the real meaning of harmony.
The harmony now means arresting people
and silencing them.”
Scholars believe that Chinese characters carry China』s
millennium of cultural connotations and ethics.
But, simplified characters damage the Chinese characters.
Besides, the CCP utilizes the form of Chinese culture
to destroy the true meaning of the Chinese culture.
That definitely adds a historic wound to the 5,000 years
of Chinese culture.
