Facebook

With Public Prosecution of Gu Kailai, Bo Xilai Will Follow.

On July 26, Chinese Communist Party (CCP) mouthpiece

media released a brief message about Gu Kailai.

Gu Kailai, wife of former CCP secretary of Chongqing

Bo Xilai, is suspected of homicide.

She has been publicly prosecuted in Hefei City, Anhui Province.

Later on, this message was forwarded widely by netizens.

International observers think that the public prosecution of Gu,

taking place at the same time as the Beidaihe meeting,

shows that CCP high officials reached a consensus on Bo.

However, by only using a criminal case to prosecute Gu

and to deal with Bo’s case,

it shows that the CCP still wants to extend its rule

with avoiding serious issues.

It focuses on small issues, and experts

point out that Bo’s case is very complex.

If the CCP cannot make use of Bo’s case and carry out

a thorough investigation of Jiang Zemin’s blood-debt faction, China’s problems will never be resolved.

In April this year, the CCP central committee announced that

it would investigate Bo’s “serious problems of violating discipline”.

On July 26, Xinhua News Agency reported that due to being

suspected of poisoning British businessman Neil Heywood,

Gu was publicly prosecuted by the People’s Procuratorate

in Hefei City in the Intermediate People’s Court, Anhui.

Li Tianxiao, doctor of political science

at Columbia University in the U.S., commented.

Currently, Gu’s case is being proceeded.

The CCP’s purpose is to test the waters for dealing

with Bo’s case before CCP 18th session.

Li Tianxiao: “As to Bo’s case, if one small part

is exposed, it will affect the whole situation.

It has tight links to all the blood-debt faction,

such as Zhou Yongkang.

At present, the CCP is faced with difficulty, of whether

to use political intrigue or a criminal offense to punish Bo.

In this situation, the CCP has taken

the route of a criminal case to deal with Gu.

Relatively speaking, it’s easier for the CCP to deal with it.

It is also for the CCP to test the waters to ask the way.”

Zhang Tianliang, professor at George Mason University

in the U.S., also commented.

If Bo is only sentenced with the crime of harboring,

it can’t explain why Wang Lijun didn’t go to his boss Zhou,

but instead escape to the U.S. Consulate.

Zhang Tianliang: “The motive of committing homicide

is to shift her assets to foreign countries.

This led to conflict with Heywood.

Then, where were the assets from?

And if she committed corruption,

it also related to Bo’s issue.

Bo’s actions are definitely not only

criminal cases and corruption case.

Otherwise, Wang Lijun would have not

escaped to the U.S. Consulate.”

Li Tianxiao said that, in order to reduce the reverberations

on the CCP and to continue to maintain its rule,

CCP high officials want to deal with Bos case

as a criminal case before the CCP 18th session.

However, Zhang Tianliang believes that

various indications show that CCP is dying.

If CCP high officials still wishfully not want to let

the CCP leave the stage, they will be disintegrated.

They will be put on trial together with the CCP.

Zhang Tianliang: “Over the years, the persecution

of Falun Gong and Zhou’s characteristics of maintaining stability have pushed the CCP to the crater.

Without openly dealing with Zhou and taking justice,

China』s problems cannot be resolved.

If they expose Zhou』s crimes and take initiatives to end

the CCP』s power, it will have the least harm to themselves.

They may get the people’s understanding and forgiveness.”

Chinese human rights lawyer Pu Zhiqiang said that

if the accusation to Gu does not include corruption,

it may mean it will not accuse Bo of corruption.

Meanwhile, Guo Yongfeng, sponsor of the Chinese

Citizen Union of Monitoring Politics, also believes that

the every high-level CCP official commits corruption.

Therefore, it’s difficult to deal

with Bo and Gu’s corruption crimes.

Guo Yongfeng: “(CCP) corruption is no longer a crime.

Engaging in the palace coup can be considered a crime.

Now, in order to maintain their internal harmony,

the CCP only targets Bo’s criminal cases.

It could be considered a ruling approach of the CCP.

I do not know, as all CCP officials killed people,

so what kind of accusation they will use.”

Guo Yongfeng said that in fact, a lot of CCP officials killed

people, but the couple of Bo and Gu killed a foreigner.

In addition, many netizens asked online why if the murder

occurred in Chongqing, was it is handed over to the Hefei Procuratorate to investigate and prosecute?

Li Tianxiao also said that under CCP rule there is no justice.

Bo and Gu would not be exposed if Wang Lijun hadn’t

escaped to the U.S. Consulate, and without Heywood’s death.

Li Tianxiao also said that Gu stated Heywood

had threatened Bo Guagua’s personal safety.

Particular points to observe are whether or not Heywood

had threatened Bo Guaguas personal safety.

Also whether Bo Guagua will appear

in court for testimony or not.
