MEP: “To Be Prepared To Help The Chinese”
Chinese Communist Party (CCP) high-level power struggle
attracted the attention of the international community.
Members of the European Parliament (MEP) expressed views
on the issue in an interview with NTD in Brussels, Belgium.
Wang Lijun’s defection to the U.S. Consulate
and Bo Xilai’s dismissal both involve Zhou Yongkang.
Zhou is well-know for his oppression of people,
and experts think his turn will inevitably come.
Members of the European Parliament shared their stance
on the currently unfolding situation in China.
Kristiina Ojuland, Former Foreign Affairs Minister of Estonia,
said: “The current changes in the political situation is but a reaction to the rapidly changing world situation."
Thomas Mann, Senior MEP from Germany: “It is clear
that the world does not need the iron hand of hardliners.”
Both MEP mentioned the Arab Spring.
They think, people who lost their rights will for sure step up.
This is a warning to all dictators.
Thomas Mann (MEP, Germany):“We must realize democracy
instead of letting dictators rule the country, as they are always on the opposite side to people.
I think the CCP authorities must be careful.
If the people find out there is no positive changes, many
people will take the revolutionary demonstrations, which is the start of a change."
At present, the internet also contributes to promoting
democracy through circulation of information.
Even in states of dictatorship, people’s desire to truth
can always break through internet walls.
Since Wang Lijun went to the U.S. consulate, NTD
and Epoch Times are following the events in China closely.
Thus the online visitors of these media have increased
rapidly several times, and are still growing.
Kristiina Ojuland (MEP, Estonia): “Young Chinese people
get more and more information and better education via the Internet.
I am convinced that the CCP leaders realize that their time
is running short, and if they do not give up their rights, people will eventually take over the rights from their hands.”
Recently, China’s internet lifted the ban of some sensitive
words, with the ban repeatedly placed on and off again.
Different media with the CCP faction background
also released a variety of meaningful messages.
The world is paying attention on where the CCP leadership’
struggle is going and will this bring down the CCP regime.
Csaba Sogor (MEP, Romania): “Even if the CCP leaders
know the world must change, they must be prepared for everything that will happen.”
The European Parliament is the largest
people’ elected organization in Europe.
Romania MEP Csaba Sogor said that they should
be prepared for the possible change in China.
Csaba Sogor (MEP, Romania): “Our responsibility is to be
prepared to help the Chinese at the right time and on the right side.”
MEP from the former Eastern European countries sincerely
hope and believe that China without CCP will have a brighter future.
Kristiina Ojuland (MEP, Estonia): “Chinese people, smart
Chinese people, if they really feel the inspiration timely,
then once China moves toward democracy and freedom,
they will make China more prosperous.”
Thomas Mann expressed that CCP will benefit from
following the trend of history. It will be a win-win situation.
