Facebook

Bomber Recording Revealed

A recording of a conversation between Qian Mingqi,

who created the recent explosions in Fuzhou,

and Xi Dongsen, the local district head,

was revealed. It shows Qian’s true feelings

before he chose to die. It allows people to revisit

the tragedy and see the real situation in China.

Before the incident, Qian revealed on a micro-blog

that ex-secretary of Jiangxi Disciplinary Commission

Xi Dongsen illegally acquired his land,

causing him a loss of over RMB2 million.

For one decade, Qian petitioned to no avail.

In the recording, Qian said he had no other options.

Qian: “Whenever we talked, I had it recorded.

I am testing the public credibility of your remarks.

You always said (you would resolve the issue)

in two days, or tomorrow, or the day after tomorrow.

It has been almost a decade since the demolition.

I never gave up my petitions, not for one day.

Do you have any intention to solve this issue?”

In the recording, Xi again requested Qian

to go through the legal process.

Qian: “I’ll believe you again this time. I do not intend

to die right now. I have things to finish.

I don’t want to prosecute now. To put it bluntly,

I won’t live long enough to finish the legal process.

I cannot go on. You will delay me a few more years.

For no reason, you have delayed me for ten years.

Do I still have energy? I have almost collapsed.

You violated my legal rights.”

52-year-old Qian used improvised explosive devices

to bomb three governmental agencies in Fuzhou.

The explosions killed 2 and wounded 6 more.

Qian also died. An informed source revealed

that as per the authorities’ orders, Qian’s family

are denied a customary funeral procession.

Before the bombings, Qian said on his micro-blog

that the root cause of corruption was the judges.

He wished the people would unite in their hope

for survival. Today, people are oppressed.

Tomorrow is the end of corrupt rights violators.

Instead of waiting, he upholds justice by actions.

Hong Kong’s Oriental Daily commented

that in current times, officials ignore grievances

of the people. They coax, intimidate, abuse,

or persecute. Officials retaliate against petitioners,

causing even greater grievances. People don’t have

a place to talk, their only means are violent protests.

Hong Kong’s Ming Pao published an editorial

saying that the explosions in Fuzhou were the latest

reflection of intensified conflicts between officials

and people. The explosions should alarm authorities.

If they still insist on their high-handed policy,

while ignoring the people’s grievances and hostility,

future outbreaks will harm the entire nation.

Recently, there were online hints similar to Qian’s.

Netizen “haoyunaing_wvy”, from Jining,

micro-blogged: “My factory in Yutai County of Jining

was demolished. After petitioning for two years

to no avail, my time is running out. I won’t sacrifice

for nothing. I will make the corrupt officials pay.”

This netizen posted 13 micro-blogs, 6 messages,

5 photos of his damaged factory, and 2 videos.

In the last message, he wrote:

“This troubled society is too dark, with no way out.

What else is there to do besides this?”
