The search is on for the body of abalone diver Peter Clarkson.

Forty nine-year-old Clarkson was surfacing off the coast of South Australia on Thursday when two sharks attacked him.

Authorities believe the sharks were great whites, and that Clarkson’s chances of having survived the attack are slim to nil.

Great whites can reach lengths of up to 20 feet, and can weigh as much as two tons.
