The Afriqiya Airlines jet destined for Tripoli from South Africa crashed in the early morning Wednesday.

The Airports Company South Africa set up a facility for friends and family of the crash victims but would not release details.

“It has not yet been released. The airline is in discussion in Tripoli with its authorities and is working hard at making that available. There are obviously protocols in Tripoli, in Libya and here in South Africa and other countries that have to be respected and adhered to."

The cause of the crash has not been determined, but officials have discovered the plane’s black boxes.
