【新唐人2016年04月24日訊】由文化部贊助、駐紐約臺北文化中心與美國哥倫比亞大學東亞圖書館所合作出版的《臺灣電影研究書目提要（An annotated bibliography for Taiwan film studies）》一書業於2016年2月問世，主辦單位將於4月21、22兩日為該書辦理新書發表，並舉行研討會及影片放映，邀請臺美電影研究學者與會，推廣臺灣電影文化。歡迎對臺灣電影有興趣的民眾踴躍與會。
「臺灣電影研究」在重要性與日俱增的美國東亞電影研究中舉足輕重，是研究華語電影不可或缺的一個環節；而在全球高等學院的電影研究課程中，臺灣電影的討論也是必納入的一個章節。然而，許多有關臺灣電影研究的資料每每散佚各地，《臺灣電影研究書目提要》則彙整了自1895至2013年間所出版或未出版、與台灣電影研究相關的論文、專文、研討會論文集與手稿的系列書目，計蒐羅包含中、英、法、德、義、日、韓、西、俄、維吾爾與斯洛維尼亞等11種文字所著各式文獻，為研究台灣電影發展不可多得的一本工具書。
編著者程健為哥倫比亞大學東亞圖書館館長，曾被美國重要圖書館期刊《Library Journal》譽為2008年的年度風雲人物，於2009年獲得美國Fullbright資深學術研究獎，赴臺灣短期研究半年，促成了本書的成形；憑藉其20餘年的資訊研究專長、歷經6年的考證完成本書的編纂。
本次新書發表將以研討會方式進行，邀請國立政治大學教授陳儒修，以及哥倫比亞大學、Point Lorna Nazarene大學、Duke大學等相關學者與會。活動除針對《臺灣電影研究索引》一書以及電影研究相關內容進行討論外，並將以「臺灣電影的今昔」為題，播映4部臺灣電影作品。活動日程如下：

The book project An Annotated Bibliography for Taiwan Film Studies received support from the Fulbright Scholar Program; the Ministry of Culture, Taiwan; University of California, San Diego Libraries; and Columbia University Libraries, and was co-authored by Jim Cheng, Director of the C.V. Starr East Asian Library, Columbia University; James Wicks, Associate Professor of Literature and Film Studies, Point Loma Nazarene University; and Sachie Noguchi, Japanese Studies Librarian of the C.V. Starr East Asian Library, Columbia University. This new publication is the most comprehensive and first multilingual bibliography for Taiwan Film Studies, including more than2,700entries of monographs, theses, conference proceedings, and screenplays in11languages, and covering more than100years of related studies.
